trike time,
I'm turning this trailer into a trike and I need to fit some brakes to the wheels.

Does anyone know of some single pivot brakes that would have a big enough clearance to fit around the tires? I know other brakes would be stronger but single (or dual) pivots would be by far the easiest to attach due to having just the one mounting point.

I think the problem with the tory mentality is that they judge success on income. the whole idea of university being more expensive but thats ok because you'll earn more relys on you wanting to earn more. Higher university fees are fine for those who get a degree as a stepping stone to a city job (torries), but fucks those who don't really care about money (the arts, academics, not tories).
I agree that the system of increased university attendance is unstable but in solving this the last thing that should suffer is education. Higher fees are a 2 pronged strategy, 1 to pay for it, 2 to put off people from going. This is the worst idea. Education is the solution to all the worlds problems. No government should ever set out to put off people from seeking out further education. If the system is unstable, then adjust the system, don't tell people to get a job instead.
It's probably that they realise that people are less likely to vote tory if they go to uni.

my mum looks after miranda richardsons (queenie from blackadder) cats.
and some real fruitbat from Carter USM news, my wife lived over the road from him as a kid and we once borrowed an amp and some mics from him when we held a gig in our kitchen. and some other tenuous Carter USM news. my dads second cousin once organised a gig for them in a cave in brataslava.
I win the Claim to (fruitbat from Carter USM) Fame game

one day I'd love to quit it all and build guitars - I'm doing a phd at the moment and want see how good I am as an academic first.
I'm quite addicted to this fellas blog

more on here http://www.crimsonguitars.com/workshop-diary/
amazing stuff, I built a few guitars when I was a teenager and loved it. I've got no time or workshop to do it at the moment, though still play at bodging things on the sitting room.

no afraid not, got binned ages ago. think they snapped further back by the start of the spider. To be honest they were quite old, must have done 10-15,000 miles or even more, also I'd just got a coaster brake so was larking around doing bunny hops and dropping off of curbs. quite a bit of missuse for a track crank.

I had a pair of suginos do the same thing. Not the exact same spec - off a 2006 langster so similar.
Luckily I was pulling up to some lights when they gently plopped onto the floor rather than an epic fail as I pulled away. cheap metal I guess.
glad to hear you're ok, a mate of mine got in a pretty bad way after this happened on a shitty old beater he was riding.

oh and this is the best bass line around
YouTube - My Sharona - The Knack Official Video
and I must say, even though I'm trying to be anti bass wankery, victor wooten properly knocked my socks of when I saw the flecktones at last years london jazz festival. stanley clarke at the same gig was also incredible.

oh dear it's turning into this forum
at least no ones posted pictures of their new 7 string or any mark king videos.
oh and when it comes to bassists mani does it for me, or john paul jones, except not his latest band, awful awful awful.
I've got bored of following other bassists recently, it can be a bit souless working out how to play other peoples tunes, especially with bass. It's strange how bass lines effect you and stick in your head. Often the best bass parts are not done by the "masters" - jaco etc, but by the often over looked. macca was pretty awesome sometimes, and the exit bass line to karma police is lovely. oh and good points about interpol and sonic youth, great stuff. I can add kim deal to that list!

no reply to my last request :( obviously not enough trike love here.
I'll have another pop, does anyone know of a single or dual pivot brake that will clear a schwalbe big apple, or even better, a mud guard too. the mud guard is about 6cm wide.
will these work?
they're these by the way
