That reminds me of my trike rear wheel. Sturmey archer 5 speed with 120mm drum brake, laced to a 24" downhill rim. Weighed near 4kg without tire. Also looks bloody stupid.

Ahhh another budget road bike build that will turn out looking amazing for an astonishingly low price. This is making it hard for me to resist joining in the fun and having a go myself.

All these second hand road bike builds are making me mighty tempted to do one myself. You can get an awful lot of bike for not much money if you're patient and pick the right parts. I'm sure this will turn out lovely.

It would be really easy to encrypt NetCDF data, just say the lat lon is in degrees, but actually put it radians. Fucks things right up.

I'm actually chuckling at the thought of someone coming after me and plowing through loads of my stored data. "What are these NetCDF files? they seem to contain some sort of 'ice edge'"

Wander if I should encrypt the many gigabytes of data I've produced for my PhD? or the flipside of hosting it somewhere so another scientist can analyse it (they never never will).

Can someone help me with dynamo light please? If you have a front light with a stand light capacitor, can you use that standlight to run a rear light? i.e. a rear with no standlight, will run off the the front standlight.

Or shall I just get a rear wtih a stand light?

Use the clips that feet your feet the best. I spent too long riding round using too small clips.
