I'm gonna give The Sonics a miss this time, their first show in NY was awesome (even tho' the sound was shit) but IMO they were pretty lame when they came to London... Gerry Roslie is a God however... Might still change my mind nearer the time... Probably not gonna go see Stooges/Suicide either, can't believe I've come to that decision... I'm sure both shows will be amazing if I don't show up... :|
I had heard that too when they first started playing again. They were awesome in NYC when I saw them. I think they were really nervous starting out again and they had to work on their performing chops again. They got better and better as the tour went on.

No disrespect to the band, but you would have to be pretty big to expect a premium on the going rate for your gear. Guitars could be an exception but you have intimated that this is gear that they had here in storage for touring so no 'special' pieces. Having said that, if when they came here they bought vintage jazzmaster's and gretsch's (gretschie?), they will have held their value. I have a good mate that works at vintage and rare guitars in Denmark street. He would give you a realistic value on the guitars, but you'd be better to sell it privately as you will get more despite the hassle. To be honest, it's pretty much the same as selling bike stuff!
I don't think anyone is expecting huge sums of money for their stuff. But It is distinctly theirs as it all says RAVE and ON and stuff like that. I'm just trying to sell it for as much as humanly possible, purely out of self interest. I need the money!

Hey all, So I just took on a job listing and selling all of The Ravonettes music equipment (amps, pedals etc.) If you don't know the band They are a pretty high profile indie band with shit loads of fans out there.
Anyway, I am going to get 10% of whatever they sell their equipment for. So depending on what everything goes for I could either make a little or a lot.
I need some ideas about how I should sell this stuff. I will most likely sell it all on ebay, but if someone has any other ideas my ears are open.
I need to make sure that the sale is focused on the fact that it's The Ravonettes equipment in order to make as much £££ as possible. I've never really done a real big advertised sale on ebay.
Are their any ebay wizzes here that know the in's and out's of putting up a high profile sale??
