Aram, I'm not and expert, but when I boufght my hi-fi I read a bit
IMHO, go with one of this two
you will be happy with bothGracias Rik, I'll be following that advice.
£100 will buy you a sweet s/h amp, Aram... Like people have already said, do your research... :]
I've been doing tons of research, Just checking out other peoples opinions too. I went to the heart assoc shop in Brixton yesterday and all they had were tons of VHS players :(.

If he's got large speakers he'll need 40+ watts to get the drivers going.
I've got 130watts per channel on my amp, and it never goes that loud.
To be honest, Although I'm a vinyl geek and want good sound, my technical knowledge is shit, so a lot of this info, however basic, goes over my head.
I have a pair of small Wharfedale Programme 50T
Technical specifications *Wharfedale PROGRAM 50T*
Version with transformer
1 x 5.5" LF DRiver
HF DRive unit 3/4" titanium dome
HF DRiver protection polyswitch
Power handling music/peak 110V/70V line 7.5, 15, 30, 60W
Sound pressure level peak 111dB
Frequency response 40Hz - 210kHz
Crossover point 2.3kHz
Dispersion (H x V) 60 x 60Nice little speakers but I only need to fill up a very small room with good sound.

Ok, I've asked for this before on here, but I didn't have the cash to do anything about it. Now it's ma Birfday and the wife be giving up some moolah! Woo Hoo.
Anyone have a decent stereo amp they would be willing to part with for £100-ish?
Needs to have a phono out, no less than 40W per channel.
Thanks guys.
