Yeah standard tickets you can walk around the whole track and will be a couple of decent places to watch if you can get through the crowds, Maggots for example. You wont be allowed into most grandstand though unless you have a granstand pass

Agree, I have the veloce version and using it on an 8 speed block (with 9 speed veloce mech) and the shift is lovely. Proper solid mechanical feel. Makes all bar mounted index shifters feel vague and plasticy!

Chain tool on one and should be fine. If you want to re-attach it then don't push the pin all the way out.

Cheers, no probs jonny please do! Yes it probably looks small as its a 'compact' style frame and a fairly low head tube (160mm). Built before the term 'sportive' frame was invented! Its the same geo (infact the same frame except top tube) as the then top of the range aluminium S-works model that Cippolini ect rode except that had a 150mm head tube (on a 56).

Horizontal TT is 563mm. Seat tube C-T is 520mm.

I'm 5ft 11, and recon it would be ok for someone up to about 6ft but obv prob best to ride it if you are not sure. Stem can go up about 15mm if needed.

2004 Allez Pro frame 56cm(E5 aluminum- same as what they still use on their top range alu). I have ridden this as my main race / fast road bike for the last 2 years and is an ideal crit bike- light and stiff (weighd the frame before build and was about 1300g). My lack of success is certainly not down to the bike, put it that way.

Good condition and kept in decent order. Tyres have plenty left on them and the wheels are in good condition and true and little rim wear. It has a small little dent on the RH seat stay at the bottom. Specialized C4 full carbon fork. Generally havent done many miles on it as it is pretty much used just for races and time trials, rarley for club runs ect, so not seen too much shitty weather.

Hardest one I have ridden semi regularly is the Knowle in Warwickshire. Long and consistently steep enough to be very hard. 22-25% in places but averages about 16% from when it properly starts.

Sunrising hill further along the Edge Hill ridge is a bit steeper (27% for a couple of meters) but shorter and not quite as hard overall imo.

They need to reduce the points available on the intermediate sprints on the hilly stages, or make more of them on the flat. Currently the best sprinter is not in the green jersey!
