Thing is there is a possibility of training on the same tracks Hoy races on, you can clock up many, many hours of practice riding on proper 'dromes, and a structure that lets you train to become as good as Hoy should you have the talent and inclination....
with the way this event runs, you get 6 laps to get used to the feel and then straight onto your 10 lap quali... clearly the top placed guy is a great rider, but i reckon everyone who turned up on the day for their 1 shot at riding the track would be able to improve quite a bit with a bit more experience on that track, and seeing as Redbull have the only track there's no way for you to gain that practice....
^ Liam Phillips raced.
Tbh I was happy to see guys who knew what they were doing race & win, regardless of sponsorship. You don't hear folks complaining that Hoy won the nationals at the proper 'drome.

I'll be happy to just go back to paying for the court if thats whats needed, even with one broken light it's better than anywhere else we have to play, we need to be able to keep using it for the good of MCR polo.
The moss, as i discussed with Neil, we can probably quite easily take care of ourselves....
Good luck Neil, let us know what the outcome is...

Planet X have a complete (M) Pompine knocked down by £150 to £449, would need a little tweaking to poloify it, but pretty cheap... http://www.planet-x-bikes.co.uk/i/q/YBCL114169/pompino-urban-medium-chocolate-brown

Mind you £48 for the helmet and Ti grill seems like good deal compared to retro fitting to my Bern.....
