Spotted a cycling cap on the road as I rode in this morning. Stopped to pick it up as it looks new-ish and something somebody might be gutted to lose. Kind of hipster (I have the same one almost), so must belong to a member of the forum!

170mm top to bottom o-o. so about 150 c-c.

how does the 38cm one look? you mean it look good when you have no brake levers on it or comfortable for brakeless riding?
They look ace.
For me they are a bit narrow if you consider that a brake would be fitted on the top. My hands would be on the bend, which I'm not a fan of. If you don't have a brake then you could fit your hands on the flat. They are lightweight too those ones.

how long (on the top) are the stems on the raleigh/sakae bars?

They are pretty long though. Bout 80 maybe 90mm I reckon.

Just 'riding' down Broad Lane when I suddenly found myself in a housing estate. Who the bloody hell build that in the middle of the road?!!! Must be a ghost town cos the road goes straight through it.

Nice one. It's slightly more NE, but that is the general area. I'd like to get a little speed up in some parts when we get out there, not too fast, but the group may get spread out at times. I am producing a fairly detail routecard so nobody should get lost if they stick to that, but be good to have a couple of people along who know the area just in case.

Any help printing and lamminating the spokecards nearer the day would be much appreciated. I am also producing a routecard for the ride. I can provide more details to whoever can help.

I'm trying to get back into designing (for personal consumption) but haven't really done anything since uni, which was a couple of years ago. Currently on my Powerbook I have an old version of Photoshop (6 I think), Illustrator (9.0) as well as Flash, Dreamweaver and After Effects. What are most people using now, particualrly for type? Photoshop CS4? And does anybody have copies I could borrow please?

Which BB do you have?
I've got a UN54 Shimano 107mm. the cranks I just got were pressing on the BB cup.
The ones I have on it are really nice old ones. Fitted chainring, look like cottered but are square-tapered. Problem is that they now have a cm of play/give when stationary. It takes a bit of pressure, but the crank arm does move about a cm before the chainring kicks in.
Kind of putting me off fixed one-piece cranks.
