@sam - the route is 30 miles. There will be 2 planned pub stops en route for a chance for people to catch up and take have a quick bevvy and breather.
Yeah, that jersey is fine. I don't want to be too strict on the jerseys as I don't want to prevent people from coming. But it would be cool if everybody could wear a jersey at least.
@coppithat - I saw one a couple of days ago. Went for bout £30. Hope that was somebody on here!

Sorry. Just popped by to see if you Northerners are coming on the Easter Vintage Jersey Ride (http://www.londonfgss.com/thread16362.html)? There's a couple of hills I reckon would be up your street, and a couple of pub stops. Should be a good day out.
As you were.

What's sad is the kids are racist. i was getting to think they grew up in such a mixed culture they left that shit behind. it's very sad but should be reported to the paper. fk the police but get a story out so people are made aware this goes on.
My missus walked passed some kids outside their house, with their mum, the other day. They asked her if she does kung-fu cos she looks 'like one of them kung fu people'. The educated youth of modern multi-cultural London.

A while ago I was on my way to work, and some woman in a people carrier on the school run was waving to her mate as she pulled out of the side road to my left. I spotted her and braked hard. She THEN spotted me and slammed on her brakes. I told the "££$%ing "£$$$" to "watch it". Couple of days later, same road same woman, same spot. This time she sat and waited, looking both ways.

What's the route???
I don't want to give it away too early, esp due to google streetview spoiling all the surprise! Plus I'm still perfecting it. I rode it on Sunday all the way and there's a couple of bits to improve to make a bit more interesting. I'll be riding it again this weekend and then with the stewards the following weekend.
Basically it starts East Central London, heads out Northeast into Essex and back round. There are some nice views, some hills to climb, some hills to fly down, a little bit of track (in homage to the Paris-Roubaix), nice British suburbia and a couple of pub stops.
ANYBODY UNSURE IF THEY ARE CAPABLE, DON'T WORRY! IF I CAN DO IT, ANYBODY CAN.
The pace will be faster than that of the tweed run due to it being outside of central London. But it is not a race. I will provide routecards, so people will be free to ride ahead and wait at the stops for everybody else. We will not be stopping traffic to go through red lights, but we will not leave anybody trailing behind either.
