Well, it's a ride taking place o 12th April. It's a fantastic opportunity to get outside, on your two wheeled machine, and see some of the best countryside zones 1-6 has to offer.

Think Eddy Merckx, Jacques Anquetil, the Milk Race, Tour De France (but at a reduced speed of course!). Picture cutting through this green and pleasant land whilst coated in history. Down those tools and pint glasses (at least whilst riding), dust off that Molteni jersey and don that Faema cap! Suck in that expanding waistline, and push for the finishline!

Come recreate the glory days. The days of thunder. The days of Sex, lies and Handlebar Tape!

Alternatively you could come and sweat bullets in a garish woolen jersey with a bunch of mates on bikes, ride round some streets, fields and woods, then sink a few jars in the pub at the end.

I realise it won't be to everybody's taste but that's fair enough.

Googled it and sounds like it is doing as expected. It's not scabbing (yet) as I've been using the Bepanthen. It's when I'm applying it that the ink peels. What I've read says it will probably peel a couple of times before it heals. I am keeping my fingers crossed it's not just fucked!

Here it is (or at least was yesterday).

It was really flakey this morning when I put on the Bepanthen. The black ink on the surface seems to be crumbling off. I hope that is supposed to be happening!

BTW - There was an Aussie girl in there at the same time complaining of itching. Turns out she was used to using Aussie Bepanthen and the UK stuff is thicker and shouldn't be used for as long.

Got the Bepanthen on the go. Not scabbed over yet. It's kind of 'bitty' or crumbley though between applications.

Think I'll ride by Thursday as it suggests stopping with the Bepanthen then.

I got the clan crest done on my shoulder. I'll try and get a pic up tonight. It's not too big but it's all shaded, so plenty of ink to mess up by not waiting long enough. Apparently it can blister if it's not healed and you get it sweaty.

How long do people wait after getting a tattoo and riding? They said to try not to sweat when it's healing.

I know the basic route, but need to iron it out so it is enjoyable for a large group. It ventures out to Essex (only so far as zone 6 though) and back round. There won't be much in town, only the distance it takes to get from the start in Central, to out east. I am currently choosing a suitable starting point. This may depend on numbers.

Rest assured though that if I can do it, pretty much anybody can. There will be stopping points marked out in case of stragglers too.
