don't really seem that cheap, when you can get a good second hand pair of oakley's and get your optition to swap out the lenses.
I wear lenses most of the time, but sometimes wear glasses. Last year I bought a pair of oakley prescription glasses, which have the same kind of "stem" as their sunglasses and the rubbery nose pad things. http://oakley.com/pd/1149
They don't slip at all, even when I sweat. I have been back to the optician once to get the stems tightened, otherwise they're the best specs I've had - but not cheap.

On the second point, maybe the parents of fat kids are ignorant, but I doubt they would be evil or unloving, if their children were fat. There are other factors. And these can be found in other threads on this forum. But the causes can be as genetic as socio-polical. The easy "evil" answer is just too simplistic to be considered with authority.

"And for the record, I don't think all men on this forum have an adolescent attitude to women, but I think a small subset of them do and are very vocal about it, and it's frankly embarrassing."
In that respect the forum is probably just a microcosm of society, I wouldn't expect it to be any different (whether or not it should be is a different matter).

Your entire reaction to her is based on whether or not you see her as worthy of your sexual attention.
Just to clarify, does the "your" here refer to Multi specifically, men on this forum or men in general? As I read this thread, Ed posted the pic and used the phrase "due to obvious reason". Far be it from me to stick up for Multi (man's demonstrably capable of doing that for himself) but he just replied that that "reason" didn't do it for him. He was responding to the original post, it wasn't his assumption that she was/should be photographed for the titillation of men.

nimbhus Remember What I Was Saying About Pisstaking, On That Track Cycling Adidas Ad Thread, Your Comment Adds Nothing And Sets The Tone For All Future Comments, And In So Doing, Your Restricting What I Feel I Should Post, Because Of Your Juvenile Response And The Reponses It May Elicit, And The Level Of Debate, Discussion That Will Now Come From You Having Said That.
If You've Got Nothing Better To Post Up Than The Forum Equivalent Of First, Then Whats The Point Of Posting It In The First Place. -

[]If you're gonna give kids asbos for playing football outside their houses, what do you expect?
[]If you're gonna over-hype the threat of pedophiles preying on every other street corner who on god's earth is going to send their little ones out to play?
[]If you wanna spend huge amounts of lottery funding on upper/middle class elitist sports like sailing, dressagé and fencing that are non inclusive, what do you expect?
[]Despite advetising laws changing on the marketing of junk food to children if you choose not to enforce them, what do you think is gonna happen?
[]Why weren't the on-line sides of these companies operations forced to operate under these same conditiions?
[]Why do you allow kids sporting events sponsored by Macdevils and cock-a-cola?
[]When kids are stopped from doing what kids do like playing conkers, british bull dog, school trips, swimming et al as we travel deeper into compensation culture what do you expect?
[]When basic parental responsibilities and risk assessments are taken from our hands and given to the health & saftey executive is it any wonder the weaker and feckless of our society dont appear to give a shit?
[*]If you choose to allow catering of school dinners to go to the lowest bidder what do you expect?
Solution: Kill the fatties+1 - maybe we could kill the politicians instead?

The main problem is how police record crime. They are obliged to produced crime stats, but use post codes which aren't fit for purpose. You have your bike stolen in from a street...the police need to record crime against a postcode....and there's as much chance that they record it against your home address as anywhere else, especially if it wasn't stolen from outside a property. Same applies to any crime happening in the street - you get mugged walking across Clapham Common, how they gonna record that, will end up being Wandsworth or Lambeth?
Then you have places like hospitals, university campuses etc. - thousands of people with one postcode, because post codes are where letters get delivered - nothing more, nothing less. Many hospitals and universities have more than one site, all served by one delivery point and post code. Also, postcodes are not consistent with ward boundaries, london borough boundaries, census geography or any other geography for that matter - so that gives us more problems.
Add to all of this the skewing affect of those people most likely to report a crime, and what you have is one almighty mess....
But bless 'em, they are trying.

I'm a slow learner, but one thing I'm pretty sure of at this relatively late stage in my life is that when you make assumptions about people, their values, their morals, their motivations, you almost always get it badly wrong. When you then speculate on how someone would behave in certain circumstances, hypothetically, based on these flawed assumptuions, you will be spectacularly wide of the mark. Add a touch of judgementalism to the mix and the result is hilarious.....
