I had a staffy once who would chase the waves as they broke on the beach. He would run along snapping at them into the distance until he couldn’t see you, then come barrelling back. He would ignore all other life form while doing this.

I think this technique is brilliant and it worked for Reggie. The only thing I would say is to do it in a neutral place the dog doesn’t know rather than on a route they know, or they will pull in one direction
