The keyboard and touchpad on my Macbook Pro has suddenly stopped working. I had difficulties with it a few months ago but a firmware update sorted it out. I downloaded and installed the latest one but it still ain't working. Anyone got any ideas? I've read online that I might have to take it to my nearest Apple store as it could be a hardware defect. I'd rather not do that though as not all of the software on it is legit and some of it was a bitch to get on.
I appreciate that this ain't no computer forum but there are some clever-computer-type-people here so thought I'd give it a go before resorting to the above.
Cheers!

Ain't got any photos but I do have this - the route I rode last night tracked with GPS (including the slight detour with the splinter group featuring Fiddy, Multi, Stix, tom, Ma3k and co.)

Really enjoyable ride last. Such a pity it ended the way it did. Henry - hope you're alright...rest up and heal fast, dude.
Cheers JimJams for leading this one. Ace route - it covered some lovely sights. Real glad it was a relatively relaxed ride throughout otherwise I'd have been even more fucked this morning. Thanks also to Ma3k and Multi for navigating the splinter group back to the main one. I'm useless in those situations and so appreciate y'all getting us back in the game.
One final thing (a Jerry Springer Final Thought if you will) - I know sometimes on these rides peeps get left behind/get lost/groups splinter off but it's a good feeling to know that you all stick together when it matters most. There were some seriously cool heads at the scene of Henry's accident despite the circumstances (purple tom, Corny, Ma3k, JimJams...too tired to remember the rest) and everyone was genuinely worried about Henry. It's good to know that should anything ever happen to me I'm with decent folk.

Minge/gash/gaping axe-wound/vag/cunt/gee...apologies... :(
I'm just that offended at the thought of people feeling the need to cut down a tree to make a bike when it isn't going to be better... it's like buying a Toyota Prius...it isn't actually environmentally friendly...it just pretends it is...
Bamboo grows back super quick and there's loads of the stuff. A lot less damaging to the planet than creating steel tubes.

you'll have a shock tonight dude.. there's been about fifty of the blighters out in force for the queen's speech at Parliament...
I know dude. That was actually why I felt the need to rant. Has that speech/event/procession/whatever it is finished now? Are roads still closed off? Might take a detour either way. There's bound to be loads of it everywhere! Might dust off the mountain bike for the rest of this week's commute...

Horse shit! Sorry - I'm not disagreeing with any of the above. Just expressing my dislike for the horse crap that seems to be anywhere near the Queen's gaff. I get that horses are useful for crowd control/beating down on tourists but the amount of horse crap I have to dodge on my way in to work is ridiculous. If dog owners have to clean up after their dogs then why don't the police clean up after their horses? It's only a matter of time until I ride through some and slide under the wheels of a cab.
Apologies if this point has already be addressed.

+1 to all of the above. He should do what everyone else on here does. Research. Tell him to buy a cycling mag and read through the reviews for something that fits his needs and budget. Seeing as budget clearly isn't an issue he won't have trouble finding a suitable bling-machine. Buying a high-spec TT bike isn't going to guarantee him a good commuting experience. If anything it'll probably put him off cycling altogether! But then a dude like that can probably afford to make mistakes like that...

I hadn't actually given that a go. As the keyboard stopped working in between firmware updates (I also hadn't installed/updated anything else) I thought it was probably a hardware issue rather than a software thang. Since posting on here I've read that it could be something to do with the battery swelling and it affecting/bending the ribbon cable that connects the keyboard to the logic board. Looks like a trip to Apple! Balls.
