there was a story in the metro up here in manchester about a community support officer who was in a park and there was a small child swimming in a lake, they shouted at them to get out, the child began to go under the surface drowning, the CSO called the police and an ambulance but stood watching the child drowning, I can't remember the reasons for this it was either the cso couldn't swim or he wasn't allowed to get in and help. Either way they are a waste of fucking space. Oh yeh and the child died by the way.

also my mother told me this story so i can tel you that the basic premise will be true but the rest may be complete bullshit. I like to believe it though.

I am going to be a bit harsh but when i see community support officers they barely seem to be able to walk.... let alone swim...so it wouldn't surprise me.

There's an article in the ES today about illegal drivers in London.

Green Assembly member Jenny Jones said: "The large and growing number of illegal drivers is worrying for all us; other drivers, cyclists and pedestrians. It is a real pain if you have a bump with someone and they give you a false name and address.
"But these people are trying to put themselves beyond the law; it means that every time their car is caught on camera speeding or driving in a bus lane, the letter and fine goes nowhere and they get away with it. Because illegal drivers think they can get away with it they drive less safely, putting us all at greater risk."
