Any comments on CS8? Chelsea Bridge has been revamped but so far it is less safe to turn right (which is where the CS8 is leading to) than before. The two northbound lanes have been widened which means that the incoming lane is narrower and the space when you overtake is teenie. I just don't understand where cyclists are supposed to be on the bridge if they are to follow CS8.
It's not fully finished yet I will wait and see how they are going to make the right turn to Grosvenor Road before I make my conclusions.

Ouch! This is my commute too and I must have gone past 8am. Shocking that the driver did not contact ambulance/police and give you their details. The same thing happened to my husband a few years ago but on the other side. Luckily there was no damage to himself or bike but the police was called by the pub where the accident happened.
There are a lot of side streets on that stretch of road with cars/van going through. The traffic has been pretty dense recently so it is important to look out for that and go super slowly. There was another similar accident a couple of weeks ago by Waitrose.
Get yourself checked up properly too. Take care.

Spotted VeeVee on that shiny Ellis Briggs on Balham High Road. I was incognito, riding a bike with rather more gears than normal (though it does say 'Clarion' in big letters on the top tube).
Hello! and sorry Clarion, I never recognise you :(
Spotted a guy on a Bianchi at the red lights in Balham weirdly trying to be as close as possible to the van ahead and made sure that his wheel touched the back of the van and stayed there. As I started telling him "you might not want to be so close", the lights changed and the van did a mini-reverse into the guy's wheel. No damage/harm. Jaygee and I giggled.

brakless, freewheel, no retention maniac going over vauxhall bridge this morning. and he was carrying a portfolio bag under one arm that was acting like a sail. yer a fucking liability mate.
people that bitch about 'nodders' on this forum: stop it. you sound like jeremy shitting clarkson on a bad day. judging someone because they ride a bike/rides in a way that doesn't quite fit into your narrow, elitist view of such matters shows a crushing paucity of character. they're on a bike, so are you, surely that's good enough?

Could you please merge these two threads? (although delete would be my preferred option).

Jaygee can you give Jenny J a Garmin lesson? Jenny J take your Garmin with you and JG will show you how to record so you can have a look how fast you sprinted up the hills.
Have fun everybody!
