I have one of these you can borrow. The bottom is hard and the bag folds up pretty small, but maybe not small enough to carry on your back and ride.

That's what I've been using lately. Fits 2 bikes, barely. It does roll up and you can use the handles as rucksack straps but it's not very nice to ride with.
For Berlin, Roxy and I are going the laundry bags route since we're traveling seperately. Hopefully we can find some thick cardboard to help support the sides a bit. -

So back on topic, I just got this email:
Oi Mike,
I'm workin' on a batch of 100 something HDPE heads as I type this note. Is London interested in another group order?
Same size options as the ABS, but longer wearing! I'll report on the weights in the next week or so, afer all the final drilling operations are done.

Arsenal Gunners... That's almost catchy.

Bike polo.CA
Search "barspin of death"
It's "bar twist of death"
I've put some super straight forks with minimal offset on my bike and have pretty much eliminated bar twist of death but it turns like a tank. I guess there's a fine balance between easy turning and too easily turned.
One small perk I guess is it seems like I can be sitting still and turn my forks 90 degrees and do slow circles in place...James Brown needs some 1 inch fork (or headset) attention as well. I gave him a set of track forks the other day but his headset threading doesn't match up so it goes all loose...

So an emirate is an airplane? The Arsenal Airplanes? Yea, Emirates sounds better at least!
Surely a team in Arsenal should have a name relating to weaponry or something? Like the wiki suggests...Football
In 1886 workers at the Arsenal formed a football club initially known as Dial Square after the workshops in the heart of the complex, playing their first game on 11 December (a 6-0 victory over Eastern Wanderers) in the Isle of Dogs. Renamed Royal Arsenal two weeks later (and also known as the 'Woolwich Reds'), the club entered the professional football league as Woolwich Arsenal in 1893. Today it is known simply as Arsenal F.C., having moved to north London in 1913. Royal Ordnance Factories F.C. were another successful team set up by the Royal Arsenal but only lasted till 1896

According to the rules on the EHBPC site metal heads are not allowed, would this desing be ok as it has plastic ends?
The first rule on the EHBPC rules is that the head ref will have final say about mallet safety. I would say it depends on the weight of that mallet head and how secure the ends are. If they're only screwed on like it looks, then no, at least one cap could easily unscrew while travelling with the ball shuffle style.
The second rule should say 'should not...' not 'can not'. We'll change that soon enough.I'm still dubious of drilling the shaft in that grey abs.
I think it adds weakness without taking away a lot of weight.Caps is a good idea though. I might drill a line of holes round the rim and a few in the end of the cap...
I think I agree about drilling the gray abs. Although drilling through the white caps and the ABS at the same time shouldn't do any harm, if your drill bit is dull like mine it ends up melting so effectively bonding the two peices together.

We'll be doing a little 'expo' of bike polo at arsenal stadium Sat. June 20th in conjunction with Bike Week, Islington Council and Green Living.Anybody interested in this? We'll be there from 12-6 and there will be some 'have a go' games where a newbie will be teamed up with 2 of us. The court will be on the small side, built the same way the Shoreditch court was with the steel barriers covered in netting and a board attached to the bottom.
List?

I've played a few times on a borrowed mtb. I like it, it's what got me to give freewheel a proper go.
Dave Hill's fixed mtb is awesome! It's a polo machine.
The mountain bikes I've played on for polo seem to give you a better center of gravity, just lower the saddle loads. But this will work on any frame.I'm pretty happy with what I have at the moment. Just got some new forks for it and the geometry looks a whole lot like that Joust but with 700c wheels and a bit tighter in the clearances.

and then the really budget version.

I like this sort of talk!
Harry.M is right about the getting up close and personal, marking, blocking etc. It has to be done.
And his experience playing East is pretty tame and controlled compared to how we used to roll pre-League...
