To everybody else:

So I was kinda irritated this thread was started as I've been talking about it and wanting to do it for a while now. But it's all good, interest is drummed up and folks are excited.

Originally it was just going to be a competitive thing with the ruling that you couldn't team up with somebody you've played with on a competitive team before. Due to popular demand it's now that and couples. You still can't have an old teammate for a partner! I'm wanting to do it the day after Valentines (a concern expressed by my other half) which is Sunday the 15th. There was some concern about it interfering with the holyday at Brick Lane but then again so has every other London tournament apart from NYD.

There will be a prize or two and there will be an entry of £5/team with all proceeds going to the EHBPC. And hopefully an afterparty/drinks/prizegiveaways.
(Which btw, this will be the first pennies in the coffers of the championships so obviously anybody wanting to donate more are more than welcome!)

Saturday:

1. Malletov Cocktail V Malice International, Broadway, Saturday, 2pm.
   
2. Zombie v. Ducks, Mitch', Sat, 12 noon
   
   

Sunday:

1. Debeauvior Townies v. Zombie, mitch, 12 noon

My point being that those hacks are at the top of the standings and were at the time as well.
You weren't a league player, just an ex-semi pro.

I proposed a sort of handicapping method of using subs of higher or lower skill than the team they were subbing on and it was shot down for one reason that it could lead to strategically choosing a lesser than sub by a strong team to get a handicap (or something like that, it seems like ages ago now!) And another reason being that it's too complicated.

How are you going to start ranking players anyways? goals? saves? passes? running interference? chemistry?

I feel that anybody present can sub on the day of. 1 sub per team per fixture maximum.

And Matt, I am really serious in my dissappointment. The rumors were pretty much saying you lot bullied LC and actually chose their sub for them. I'm not only disappointed that you guys would do that but that LC and everybody present would stand for it, that's not on, the first rule of the league is that it's owned by the players.
Now that the light has come out it's not as bad as it seemed and this has possibly brought about another topic to work out for the next league guidelines.
I'm curious if you guys would have kicked off if Yorgo and I had chosen Brendan, Aidan or Dave as our sub in our game against Malice?

Basically there's not any free if the people that spoke up about them still want them and aren't too bothered about size/model. That's all to be decided once they get here I guess.

Although I did just put a new saddle on it to replace the Turbo with no covering and have ordered a new red chainring and bolts for some new-to-me cranks I just got off the 'bay...
You still can't do anything to the rear wheel without two spanners (much frustration at the shoreditch tourney), the wheel when centered at the chainstays will scrub the right seatstay and vice-versa. the headset constantly comes loose but not as bad as the bent to fuck shimano headset that used to be on there preventing me from turning right (some frustration at Downham ct.), I've hung by the forks from a tree to straighten them out after a game against BAD, the current chainring has been bent/stomped so many times it's like rubber now (more frustration in Zurich), same with the rear rim, and not to mention the awesome welding job Max did with the 'missing link'!!
