i think ezra from fast boy cycles's bike looks amazing - so simplehas anyone ever bought a wooden handlebar from him? could i just stick a broom handle in there for the same effect?
yup. he is building me a bike as we speak and i have some of his wooden bars.. they are sweet.
cant use a broom handle though, his bars are steam bent laminated wood for strenght, 12 ply i think. beautiful craftsmenship

thankfully as mine was a black one i managed to sell the frameset and pay for my full custom condor bike. (hipster idiots)
you're right though, they havn't imported them this year or last i don't think.

SOLD
56 tt 53 st paul milnes cyclocross bike
i love this bike.
its a hand built paul milnes (yorkshire) 531 cyclocross bike with internal cable routingit was my first fixed gear bike but i have since upgraded to a bigger bike,
its a lovely shade of pea green, not uber hipster bling specced but has some nice bits (check out the saddle!) all-round solid retro bike, even has cx levers handy for cruising and braking.. it's singlespeed at the moment but you could easily plonk a fixed rear wheel... i have played around with riding positions a lot with this bike so if you want to see how else it could be built....
http://flickr.com/photos/tomcutting/sets/72157600281633136/so... any takers? not in london (yorkshire so postage for the most of you i imagine)
no pedals am afraid, but can sort some out if you are struggling
£300 please

have some campagnolo 32h atlanta rims, am in the process of taking them out of some hubs when they will be highly polished ready for a rebuild...
the question is... shall i shell out X amount for some nice new hubs and get them built up for my bike or just flog them to some keen hipster and help fund an off the shelf pair of wheels (ellipse or campagnolo pista etc)
i.e how much are these things worth!? a disproportionate amount worthy to convince me to part with them?
and yes.. a pair, 32hole and very very shiney
