My road shoes have vents literally all over them- there are a number in the sole for example.
This makes them very pleasant to wear in the summer, less so now.
Ma3k is right about the walking like a penguin thing, so they can really only be advised when out for a long ride on the good/fast bike.
I have SPD's on all the day to day machines.

I'm probably wrong here but I seem to recall (through a fog of lunch time beer and old age) that if it is a 68mm shell then it is more than likely English thread.
You could run a thumbnail along the thread and work out if is clock or counter clock- that would be a lot more reliable than my rememberances however?

I have to say that I find it hard to sympathise with the OP- starting all their other posts with "Poor you, my bike got nicked etc" in reply to everyone elses stolen bike threads was poor show.
As the "Fixed Apocalypse at member 5000" post shows there are a lot of us, and you just have to look at Scott's post to see how to mobilise a hugely diverse but bicycle obsessed bunch of people to look for your bike.
Forum etiquette fail I am sorry to say.

I've been tempted by any number of carbon bling rims on the bay before- but they are cheap for a reason!
Tublulars are great if you have a bunch of mechanics following you in a bright yellow car with "Mavic" written all over it, stuffed full of spare wheels.
Not so great if you have only your bag over your shoulder.
In short- to fix a puncture with a clincher you just need to swap the tube, with a tub you need to remove the entire tyre/tube sealed unit, re-glue or tape the new tyre/tube unit to the rim (and it must be pre-stretched), then inflate it to 160 PSI with your mini-pump.
I run clinchers personally, even on the road bike.

If you do buy them don't go for Time RXS- I regret making that choice, as with no float I have to choose between hip or knee pain on a longer ride.
Speedplay are going to be very slightly richer when I get around to it.
