Those meters have been around for some time, I've played out at places that have had them installed in the past... Noise annoys... Someone's probably already said that, but I didn't read it... Advance apols if so...

ive set up a small p.a. system in a place with one before and it triggered the box so many times they need to be redesigned with a higher limit

people's ears are being damaged by irresponsibly louds music...

I think controls on volume levels might encourage clubs to focus on investing in good sound setup to make the most of the allowed volume.

This would be a good thing.

alot of places have got good sound systems the problem is poor maintenance. there are loads of place with funtion1's and turbo sound setups but this sound metre could be triggered by a boombox or a even a pub full of lfgss rider

The government wish to consider it a legal requirement in the new tax year to introduce laws insisting anyone applying or re-applying for an entertainment license must have a noise control device fitted to the venue! This will be a massive problem to anyone who goes out partying or even down there local pub for a karaoke night! please help by signing this petition and stop this stupid idea!
