Thanks very much Nick, that's super helpful.
It's hard to concentrate on getting numbers and details when you're laid out in pain next to a car right?! In my case a (really lovely) witness took the details, but I think was more concerned with checking I was ok.It seems like such a pain to claim, and in general I am OK -- a couple of days going to hospital appointments, broken helmet, bike seems ok, but I'd like to have checked over, so not huge amounts of money, but still very annoying. I'll definitely drop Slater Gordon a message though FWIW. Thanks again!

Hmm, not sure what you mean sold a dud. I'm trying to mount a PM caliper to an FM fork, so definitely need some kind of adaptation.
The flat mount they use on the RS Rudy looks like the spec of a flat mount rear rather than front (ie. 34mm spacing between two through holes). Ima order some different options and see what goes.

Having issues understanding flat-mount (I think partly ideologically, I never got what was wrong with post-mount).
Trying to fit an XT post-mount caliper with 160mm rotor to a Rockshox Rudy fork, can anyone tell me which adapter I need? It looks to me like they use a rear flat-mount standard on the fork?

Sorry to be THAT GUY, but my Omnium Mini-max is for sale over here.

Selling our beloved classic Mini-max to make space for a new e-cargo. It's been brilliant, used mostly for ferrying Bella around, but the hills in Sheffield are proving too hard on the knees with 20kg of doggo sat on the front.
Spec:
Omnium wheels 700cx30 rear 451 20" front (but I had it setup with 650bx47, and a 20x1.9" Bmx wheel for gravgrav duties), chainset, stem
Deore/SLX/Zee 1x10 group
Avid brakes, newish pads and 160mm rotors.
Nukeproof carbon bars, I'd like to keep the Ergon grips so will stick some Vans grips on for the sale (sorry, forgot to do that before pics).
Currently rigid seat post, but we did have a KS 120mm internal dropper post on so that my partner and I could both ride it that I could potentially refit for another £75, but would rather keep it for the new build.Bought from @VeloSurMer a couple of years ago, it has a few scratches and chips now here and there, but has had a pretty easy life.
Bike is in Sheffield, but I will be down in London on the 18th October, and would be happy to bring it down with me then and meet somewhere in town/near St Pancras.
£1200 seem fair?

I met the chap behind Onus Cargo a few weeks ago.... lovely lad. I'm really into what he is doing with the modular sidecar focused towards trades-people. Anyone know if he's on the forum?

Haha, cheers @snottyotter that's super helpful. In your experience how much further than the Shimano claims can you push the rear GRX derailleurs? Is 42T do-able?

Made a new thread, and realise now I should have just asked here...
Anyone have any insight on what a 10speed GRX shifter will be compatible with from the MTB range of cassettes/shifters?
Am I right in thinking that the cable pull of the GRX 10 speed is the same as 11 speed MTB, and therefore I could remove a sprocket from an 11spd cassette, and use an 11spd XT or SLX rear derailleur? Or am I talking nonsense?

stability not be affected by the wheelbase being shorter due to the 20" rear wheel
I'm intrigued to find this out too, I stretched them out for that very reason so the chain stays are ~400mm in the shortest position... not much shorter than they would be with a larger wheel, so the contact patch is pretty well in the same place. I think they look very short because the motor mount encroaches into where they would normally be. I also don't think it will want to wheelie given all of the weight up front and at the motor, but I could very well be wrong!
The front wheel is already in a 'normal' position
Yes, although I have slackened off the HA as much as I dare (while keeping reasonable trail) to try to compensate for getting rid of the extension.
Will there not also be a lot of brake dive with the length of fork travel
I'm also a bit worried about that. The fork is 100mm travel, so it's more than I've seen on most cargos. It does have a lock-out though, and I think if I find I'm using that when its loaded I may end up making something rigid for it, or trying something shorter travel.
Appreciate the comments, and definitely don't read it as criticism... I only wish I'd started the thread sooner (i.e. before cutting tubes!) I suppose I think this is the bike I want, but it's definitely a prototype, so we will see.

I can definitely see your point, but for me it feels like it’s the front wheel smashing into things that stops me rolling smoothly, so I can’t see how the large rear would help, because I’ve already been slowed down… if that makes sense? Anyway, I’m not fully convinced, but I’ll let you know after some back to back tests!

I've started on a new cargo project over in current projects that I figured some people on this thread might be interested in (and also might give me some feedback!) It's my attempt at fixing all the things I hate about our Omnium (including, but not limited to: horizontal TT, connector rod steering, cumbersome back wheel, tiny clearances, and no motor).
I've just about got the frame built, and will start screwing bits to it now, as they trickle in through the post.
ALL GONE!
Any appetite in this thread for various fork blades and some chainstays before I put them on the framebuilding FB page? I haven't made any forks for years, and doubt I ever will now, it's a shame as I really like the 531 blades, I also doubt I'll ever use straight chainstays again.6 of Reynolds 531 (I think) raked fork blades (oval top)
2 of some kind of raked fork blade (round top)
2 of straight fork blades (round top)
1 of 1"steerer brazed into a track crown (round ports)
4 of straight chainstays round end (I think Deda)
4 of straight chainstays oval end (I think Deda)
1 of plain 1" steerer.
They all have surface rust, but I reckon they'll be reet with a rub down.
Not really sure how to price, would a fiver a pair be fair? Would be great to send as a bunch too so would be happy to offer a price for the lot.
I'm in Sheffield and happy to post.
