1800 according to http://www.criticalmasslondon.org.uk/main.html. Unless they take two hours to get going, which is not impossible.

i'm out :( it is unfortunate as i was really looking forward to this, i'm glad the sentiment has changed towards going to cm this friday and that people will be using it for a good cause rather than a just leisurely jaunt around central london. i'm also hoping the hgv protest will spark life into the cm again so that it can used in future for what it was originally intended as well as a platform for road cycling awareness and environmental issues.
+1. Should be there.

I don't know if this has been said? It would be great if the final design is approved by either a survivor or a relative of someone who has been lost. This would give it a bit more weight if the media took hold of it.
I wonder if the relatives of Lisa Pontecorvo might able to approve it? She was a real campaigner it seems.

great work Jol; and thanks for the offer Clefty!
Prefer the non-drop - a bit more universal.
Radio/local tv a good idea, too, if the cards get out quickly enough. Means the message can be more +ve about riding, as well as the more focussed, but scarier, spoke cards.
So: vote on domain name and design tomorrow, decide on a paypal address (like for the T-shirts) and away we go.
(Erm, and hide the drunk riding thread.) -

VB+Ved +1. Should put a website link on the cards (www.insidesuicide.com, www.dfwt.org.uk and www.undertake.org.uk are free), too, unless going very viral.
Other stuff may make sense, too, but this should be the core of the campaign and closest to what the forum does. LCC and CTC can coordinate lobbying
Liked the city hall circle, too. -

- Avoid overtaking lorries on their left.
- Check behind you before changing position on the road (e.g passing parked cars).
- Make eye contact with other road users, visibility is the only thing
- Position yourself where everyone can see you,
- Get in front of trucks and buses enough so the drivers see you
- Position yourself out of the gutter so oncoming (right turning) traffic sees you
- Even behind a van/truck/bus....MAKE yourself seen, thats your responsibility.
- Put a bell
- Put a brake on your bike.
- [from moving target]
http://www.movingtargetzine.com/foru...r-life/#Item_0 - Vocally make pedestrians aware of your movements
- Do not switch lanes or cut between traffic without looking for other cyclist/motorcyclist filtering down the gaps.
- When passing parked cars. Check your shoulder and pull out with plenty of time. Too many people do it at the last minute.
14.Over exaggerate hand signals . so the thickos get the message - Look for the fucker about to open the car door. Even better, always give them a wide berth, but see 13.
- keep an eye on the opposite lane. That man in the white van wants to turn right, right across you. Taximan is desparate to do a U-Turn.
Plus what whatfriends said above (esp. 15)
- Avoid overtaking lorries on their left.

lots of annoyed cabbies and scooters on the Mall. Shows the problem of getting the point across.
No sign of my rear light, either. Still, enjoyed the ride.
here's the crowd at the taxi bump near Cambridge Circus:
