Watched the Ireland Samoa game on catch up, disparately avoiding my phone the whole time. While I never want to see Samoa spanked (I'd cheer for them over any other team), I was not having a fun time as an Irishman. Tom Steward shat the bed on multiple occasions (hard to admit as an Ulsterman also, just glad the one that righted the ship was from the same province). Mack Hansen was visibly frustrated. Stockdale looked good in comparison, but still not a world class wing, yet. I think he could be again. I think just generally Ireland thought they were going to walk it, were caught off guard and never really recovered.

Ones we got made in our last flat were solid wood and just used the slots on the sides over some lengths of rod that were epoxied/stuck into the walls using something hardcore. Not sure if it was actual epoxy or some kind of construction adhesive. I'd say for non solid wood, some along the back would be a good idea. Not rawl plugs though as those threads would not bite in the same way that screws would. Also, screws are tapered which causes the plugs to expand the way they need to work.

Very nearly tearful watching Keith Earls get his 100th cap, at home, against England with an outstanding finish in the corner. What about 22yo McCarthy just picking up Lawes like a doll! And Prendergast with his first start, completely out classed his opposite number. Only shocker was Byrne's place kicking.
Vunipola is fucking dog shit. Big, slow, stupid. Good riddance. That he is the only specialist No.8 in their 33 man squad is seriously damning of the RFU.

head height
Whose head???!!!!
But in seriousness, when I looked at the regs some time ago when I wanted to dispel the idea at casa stevo, I think the distance from the wall is 3x the diameter of the pipe, but only if the pipe is uninsulated and if the wall is covered with/made from combustible materials. A quick google shows plenty of examples where the stand off is less than half of what they fitted yours at. Doesn't even look like they were trying to get around fascia overhang either.

This is rubbish of course because the scaffolding company is his subcontractor.
This is true in that it's his responsibility if they're his subcontractor, but in reality, nobody wants to fuck with scaffolders so they are a law unto themselves. They are very likely telling the truth about staffing and are just waiting until they need it for another job. Easier to take it down once and move it to the new job than to take it back to the yard, sort it, store it then pull it out again for the next job. It's not going anywhere so they'll just take it as free storage. You can keep asking, but IME it is very unlikely to have any impact. Plus, if the builder has been paid then he has not much of an incentive to piss off the scaffolders. Whatever you do, make sure to check for any damage when they do take it down and report that asap before the builder fucks off over the horizon. Ours smashed up the gutters and fascia boards taking theirs down.

Saw Will Greenwood talking about how it was (likely) the same barrister/KC that got England out of trouble for fielding 16 players for a short time in another world cup. He is by all accounts very good (the joke being he almost convinced people that rugby is supposed to be played with 16), but folks now concerned about the precedence it sets. WR looking to appeal the rescinding of the red now.

Ntamack out with ACL injury. France not as scary after also dumping a load of points to Scotland in the second half two games in a row.
England are in for a world of hurt (after celebrating like they'd won the world cup after (BARELY) beating a second string Wales with the best team the RFU could throw together.
Scotland looking FIT (although VdM looking very frustrated).
Looking forward to Ireland England this Saturday.
Scariest for me are a refreshed NZ and a title defending South Africa.

With adapters it's about how much more space they need. I got one to use my Milwaukee batteries on my green Bosch tools. There's no way it would work on the RO sander and on the strimmer and mini vac I had to perform some surgery on the tool itself for it to fit. Otherwise it does what it says on the tin.

When we got our Everest sash windows, I was told that there was wood behind the pvc where I wanted to hang blinds. There wasn't, it was hollow. I put the blinds up anyway and they didn't come down in over a year's use. As for filling, I didn't have to worry as our builder knackered some of the outer trim around the window which Everest replaced under warranty. We got them to fit wider trim which covered the holes. You may get an acceptable finish with some silicone though.
The DG properties are in the glazing unit, which unless you're drilling right on the edge of the pane, there shouldn't be a problem. You could use some silicone or adhesive behind what you're fitting, which would help with the durability concern, but would also be more faff to delete further down the line.
