must be drop handle bars, and a reasonable height bottom bracket, however they are not as fussy as Manchester. If the bike is unsuitable tho we wont let you on, so if you are worried give me a call on the number above.

Hoping to have enough for two groups, one novices and the other riders who want to practice more specific things.

going to need to leave earlier than 7 Mike! you will need to be there at 9am for a briefing, I would reckon more like leaving at 6am.

Sessions are 9.30 to 11.30 then 2-4

Its £45 for both sessions or £25 for just the one.

First is a weekend clinic Friday 7th and Saturday 8th of August, this will involve a track session each day with start gate practice and mock racing, it will also include a video feedback session on the Friday afternoon. There will be lots of feedback and one to one coaching throughout the two days.

The second is one of Fast Track Coaching’s Structured Training Sessions; we have 2 hours track time on 15th of August for last minute race prep, starting gate efforts and position checks all under the eye of our expert coaches.

What a day, stunning weather, cool people (great to put some faces to names on here) and a properly organised and run event. Was a real pleasure participating!

you neeed rest, its that simple, total week off the bike and I promise you will be going quicker than you are right now.

In the main 20 lap race I came third, was a hard race Felix attacked at the start and went away with two other riders, we chased got it back together and there were 3-4 more attacks that all stayed away for a bit. I had to do more chasing than I would have liked nailed me a bit for the sprint was in second with half a lap to go and me, Jean Spies and Felix were wheel to wheel for the last half lap. Jean getting it from Felix and me by about a bike length. Safe to say I was rather tired afterwoods....

Fast track coaching are investigating holding camps there next year, we were going to do one this year at the indoor track but they put the price up by £250 a day a few months before we were due to go which kind of killed it!

If you go to the velodrome website and email the owner Andy he is out there and using that track often.

Paul, would you like a lift Sunday? I am happy and qualified to ride the derny for keirins if needed as long as I get a go in one keirin race myself.
