So, alleycat convention says that an incomplete or inaccurate manifest is a DNF and gets 0 points. Tour of East London precedent concurs with this, vis a vis the Fruitbat not filling in his manifest incident. This would of course strike Gustav's 18 points from the results. Now I am a sporting gentleman, as witnessed by the donation of my crisp packet to shore up the damaged tyre of my closest rival for the GC, The aforementioned Gustav. As such I raise the motion that instead of striking his score for this eveningfrom the record we allow Gustav 4/5ths of his score as he got 4 out of the 5 checkpoints correct. This would give him a score of 14.4 - call it 14.5

stage 5 of the tour was a little controversial.

apparently the reason why this thread is so quiet is that the current protaganists dont want it bumped because that would entice more riders to compete. and thereby jeopardising their standing in the gc.

we meet at the royal inn on the park which is on the junction of lauriston and wetherall. and well yes it is on the edge of vicky park (north side).

dont worry about bike. my first fixed was very basic.

re the scoring.

there is separate tour for the men and the women although they undertake the same stages.

it is 20 pts for 1st, 19 for second, 18 for third etc.

there are eight stages to the tour. we have had four and there are four to go.

it is your top five scores that will count to general classification.

as far as i know there are only five people that can max out on general. that is get 100 pts.

these are gustav and hillbilly in the mens.

and tricity, katt and gina g in the womens.

there is a special prize for anybody that can max the general.

stages take place on the last wednesday of the month at 830 ish. assemble at the pub.

i saw rocksteady out today on well street - no doubt warming up for the stage tonight.

assemble at 8 for 8.30 start (approx).

the stage should take b/w 30 and 45 mins. it is a classic.

it is bang on tonight.
