Does anyone else, apart from Clive obviously, hold the opinion that Hiddink has no chance of improving things at Chelsea given that all the underperforming overpaid prima donnas a) know he'll be gone in the summer and b) having got rid of two managers will be quite happy to make it three?
Sounds about right. He must have some kind of dirt on Abramovich though - all seem a bit cosy, this Russia - Chelski connection.

Jeez - it's like frigging mumsnet* on here sometimes.
Abusive pm'ing is really not necessary. The post was clearly really badly timed, but he did apologise. Can we just move on?
And paul-michel - you've gone through that much grief so far, you may as well stay. As was said^^ up there - come to a drinks and meet some real faces. You'll get advice without the shit and can get pissed at the same time.*erm judging by what mrs v-r tells me about it. ahem.

That is of course an exaggeration, but it is certainly the case that visually impaired and blind people can fear footway cycling more than clear-sighted people. The same applies to people unsteady on their feet, e.g. elderly people.
They can also fear cyclists in the road. I almost totalled myself, a blind person and their dog the other day, when the dog starts leading the blind fella across the road when I was only a few feet away. I had just greased everything so was running super-stealthy, which may have been the problem, though I would have expected the dog to see me.

@ AdamM - excellent summary.
@ mechanical_vandal - bunch of nonsense. As mentioned many times above, the level of injury that is 'prevented' by helmets is very much disputed. Saying that those who ride without should put their hands up after an accident and say "fair enough - I know it was your fault, but i really don't deserve any compensation" is just ridiculous.

it will be if Oneil takes the job! he could do some damage at the top with those coffers!
He's got plenty of cash now - he just prefers to work with youngsters with potential, supplemented with a few experienced heads. And he doesn't think foreign = better.
He won't go anywhere having just got this team together. We'll be title-challenging next season.

come on you other 18 teams lets hear from ya ( well apart from the red mancs, yous lot can just f*uck right orf )
I am unable to talk too much about it this season for fear of the usual slip down to finish 6th. Still - Ashley's back, Carew's back and we're still 5 points clear of the Arse...This just might be the time...
Though I may have to mention it when we knock Everton out of the cup.

so... how in fuck does it work? whilst i agree wholeheartedly with the sentiment (or lack of) in this thread, i know that if i don't do something i'll be in the doghouse (not immediately of course, it'll come back to haunt me somewhere down the line). the 'make a gesture another time' won't cut it either.
I go for the cook-something-nice-drink-something-nice-have-a-shag option. It's win-win.
Fuck the roses (and Roses for that matter).

except to the person with Gold.
BOOOM!
