Well done Matt, a K in the final was a nightmare. My legs were fucked. Well done Stelle, and well done Sarah. Considering you werent going to do it and claming you were going home after each race getting to the final was awesome.
Yeah that was the hardest thing ever. Legs were like jelly half way around and I could hardly turn the pedals. It was a close run thing though, so well done to you too.

Nice one Matt! Will this become your new track steed then? Is it a good'un?
Well it's just a box of Columbus tubes at the moment (which is cool in itself), but yeah I think I'm going to make it into a tight, dedicated track bike and keep my other one for commuting. I have most of the other parts to turn it into a bike already, so it shouldn't be too expensive.
I've heard that the 14 track builds are really good, so I still can't really believe it, what a prize!

Happy Birthday 14! I remember going to the opening and it running out of beer, definitely not the case at the birthday bash! Totally amazing volumes of booze, banging tunes and a mental crowd. Thanks all for the support, that final was the hardest thing..especially because I thought it was only 500m and couldn't understand why it was taking so long.
Obviously totally delighted to have won a frame! Will look forward to going to the shop and sorting it all out.

Hi,
Selling a few things. Bought this 25.4 seatpost at a jumble because it was advertised at 25.0! I have no use for it, so £7.

I bought some handlebars with this on, and don't really have a use for them. Shimano Aero brake levers, small tear on one hood. Probably not the world's best brake levers, but ok. £10.

Bar end shifters, 8 speed indexed, or 7,8,9 friction. £15.

Shimano Cable stops, £3.

Not too sure what these are, clamp on cable stops? £1

Will deliver to some drinks.

I just got a cracked aluminium lug welded by Alpha Welding in Croydon. He only charged me a tenner and did a pretty neat job.

He's done plenty of bikes and is a really pleasant guy. He said the work is guaranteed, and given that he was about to weld some car wheels as I left, I have every confidence of it holding! Added bonus is you can go to Geoffrey Butler cycles down the road and pick up some bargains while you wait!

Yeah, I found this one (8th down the list on the link). although because Campag change their systems from time to time it won't fit all hubs. Just ordered mine, fingers crossed...

If it doesn't fit I'll take apart the 8 speed cassette that was on it, use the 16T cog and place 2 larger cogs either side to stop the chain derailing. Gotta love a bodge-job!
Sorry.. but that won't fit. Campag 8 speed freehub is different from 9/10/(11?) speed. You could take apart an 8 speed cassette (I think you can separate them) and re-arrange them in an order to suit the gear you're trying to use.
Personally I'd say it was more hassle than it is worth, especially as 8 speed campag stuff comes at a cost premium anyway.

Another thoroughly enjoyable ride, a less epic route this year than last time, but a bit more manageable I think. It certainly kick-starts the year with 100 miles in the legs so this definitely should be an annual event.
Glad you came along Oliver, the pint of ESB at the end finished it off perfectly.

Not quite, there was a team called Rapha Geminiani, (see http://www.dewielersite.net/db2/wielersite/ploegfiche.php?id=3812 for the jersey) but it seems to have been associated with St. Raphael according to http://www.bikeradar.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=15826577.
