if the only option is replacing the hub why not just thread it on the freewhell with a bunch of hard-core loctite and the BB Lockring so that it NEVER comes off.
you will be stuck with that gearing / sproket but thats cheaper than replacing the hub. swap out the hub later on...
I rode a Suicide Hub for a while without any loctite. - It wasn't secure enough for Skidding - I could never get the BBlockring to screw down hard enough.
you can also use a thin shim between the sprocket and Lockring to get more outward force on the threads. -
for Fixed stuff in Sydney your best bet would be Cheeky Transport / Cheeky Monkey
http://www.cheekytransport.com.au/
in Newtown just off King St street.CBD Bikes in the City on Kent street sell a bit of track /fixed stuff - they stock a few Off the Shelf track /fixed, SS commuter bikes, Bianchi Pista, Kona, etc..
most of the other Bike Shops in Sydney don't seem to stock any fixed or track stuff.
oh wait there is a little place on Paramatta Rd with a Red and White sign 'Cycles' that may do some track stuff - although it seems more of 'serious roadie' shop.

how the hell do you get them off with just your thumbs?
- I just recently bought my first set of 'skinny tyres' 700c x 20mm
adn goddamn they were hard to get on. - I'm used to big fat tyres that are so much easier. my thumbs were sore for days. and i doin't think i got them on very well. the tube may have been a bit twisted/bunched.
