Pop Tarts are dangerous.
My friend almost burned down his parents house with one when he was younger.
A flaming pop tart flew out of the toaster, hit the curtains and set them ablaze! You can also hospitalize yourself from third degree burns to the mouth if you are stupid enough to eat them straight from the toaster.
Lethal things!

Sounds good.
I have developed a cold over the last three days. I am sitting here eating the biggest bowl of fruit ever. I have drunk cider vinegar, honey, lemon, neurofen. You name it I am taking it. I think I have the better of it now as I am back at work and am 95% confident I will be fit for tomorrow. I will be major pissed off if I am not up for it. Can you PM me your number in case I haven't made a full recovery by tomorrow morning. I will phone you at about 7 if I can't come. If not and more likely I will see you at 7.15

camden is one spot i'm 110% aware and actually take it easy, too many stupid peds walking everywhere.
Yep totally agree. Cycling in London requires different attitudes/styles in different towns.
You need to be able to alternate depending on where you are and not just road conditions and time of day. -

Great idea. I have had similar thoughts for a while now.
'The survivalists guide to London Cycling' or something.
Don't use cycle lanes ( mostly )
Never undertake lorries.
Use the wing mirrors of cars to look at the driver.
Use (clean) cars in front as mirrors......Im sure we could get something really good going

Glad I found this thread as I was about to start a new one about these idiots.
Forget bendy buses being the danger on our road. These guys are the real deal when it comes to reckless endangerment of cyclists. I don't know where they have come from, or what skills you need to be one of these retards. Suffice to say, one of them is now driving around with a rather large dent in his passenger side door. Coming up to Old Street round about from City Road this morning. I take a left at the roundabout but stay in the outside lane cos I need to take the right down singer street to get to my work. Anyway, Its pouring with rain ( what is it about rain that makes people unable to drive?), there is a bus on my in inside. Hes on my right. But he is pulling straight into my lane literally squashing me between him and the bus. If I hadn't given him an almighty kick ( I was going fairly quickly 15mph+) I would have been pushed under the buses wheels for sure.I have read previous threads about adrenalin and rage, obviously I was angry, more scared actually as anger and fear are almost physiologically identical. But I decided to keep going after a few choice words of stay in your lane you fucking cunt. Are you fucking blind etc etc.
Just to repeat these guys are CUNTS. Stay well clear of them

Yes very true.
I was having this conversation with my friends in the pub on Saturday night. The efforts of our cyclists really shows up the footballers for what they are. Don't get me wrong. I love football, but most of the players nowadays are just a bunch of overpaid prima-donnas who wouldn't recognize real effort and achievement if it slapped them in the face.
And yes. The media in this country do seem to prefer it when we loose.

I am also wondering about gearing. I am more used to riding 48:17. I have been riding 48:18 the last couple of weeks getting used to a low gear for the hill. But I don't like it as much. I seemed better suited to the slightly higher gear. So I guess it is a trade-off between whether I want to get up the hill with relative ease, but be spinning a bit higher than I would like. Or go with my preferred gear and 'struggle'? up this hill. I mean how hard is this hill anyway?

I Had such a great time.
Had to cycle back from Victoria and by the time I got to Golders Green I seemed to hit some sort of wall. I was unable to go any further until I had a mars bar and some lucozade. It was also raining kind of freezing hailstones on me at that point too.
Eighty miles in all and 4 pints. I have a feeling I will be a little sore tomorrow.
Great to meet you all
