Sorry to hear about this hope everyones ok and heals quickly.
Stelle take your OK arm out first then get someone pull the top over your head trying to not move your upper arm. Then gently take it over your arm. I dislocated my collarbone and broke my arm at the same time and thats what I had to do. Maybe leave it as long as you can as the pain will reduce alot in the next few days and it'll be easier to get off, or drink half a bottle of vodka first.
I'll be happy to help with some sweeping, no broom but sure I can pick one up somewhere.

You can do a course in bike fitting with Serotta, a SICI or something, not a degree. I'm not sure BW have this but from hearing about them it seems they have years of knowledge, experience and understanding of bike fitting which in my opinion you can't get in a 2 week course anyway.
Maybe bike fitting should be part of a bike purchase but its not and there isn't enough bike fitters in London to have one in every shop either so this is your only option if you deem it nessesary to get a proper fit done. Having had to go to a physio at a young age from screwed knees from using badly set up SPD's I would say £45 is nothing. I got it on NHS so it cost me nothing but having to stop riding for a year you can't put a price on.

6 weeks after a leg waxing? I got mine done last year and had hairs growing back after 2 or 3 weeks and then managed to get millions of ingrown hairs so I've decided against doing that again. Just shave them now.
One tip though if you are getting your legs waxed, make sure they are properly grown back if you've been shaving them before, there is nothing more embarrassing than being told they can't wax your legs as they aren't hairy enough!

I'm finding this all very exciting which is quite annoying me as it could destroy pro cycling which is a sport I love. I've always like Lance but always known he'd been doping so I suppose he was always going to get caught eventually.
I still think this will be twisted into a Floyds nuts and not to be trusted and he's being bitter, and all forgotton about in mass media. But if everything does come out.......Lance banned, surely Contador must be implicated since he's been with Bruneel. Maybe we could see Wiggins winning the tour (I'm assuming the main GB riders are clean but who knows?).

I was in Edinburgh at the weekend and saw Graeme Obrees hour record bike in the museum, it had his integrated pedal shoes on it. He basically butchered a Carnac shoe and bolted a pedal into the sole and then covered it all up in fibreglass so you are lower on your bike and can't pull your foot out and the whole assembly in more aero. Is there a reason this hasn't taken off? Not nessesary? To hard to adjust for foot angles? Outlawed by the UCI? Safety?

I did the Thames Turbo Sprint Tri on Monday, first tri so wasn't too sure what to expect. Wasn't overly pleased in the morning about having to cycle there for 6 especially since I'd got a bit carried away the night before and only had a few hours sleep but once I got going I enjoyed it way more than I thought I would. Swim went better than I thought and I was overtaking people (pool swim so you were set off every 15s), the cycle was fine and seemed to get an alright time. I got a pretty slow time in the run, not really been doing much running lately so wasn't too surprised by that!
Got beaten by 19 seconds by a really annoying guy at my work which is getting more and more annoying the more people that come up to me telling me he's been over gloating about it. Both doing the Windsor Tri so I'm planning on thrashing him there!

I'm doing a short triathlon on Monday, not done any TTing before but got a set of clip on bars that I've not had time to use yet. Whats the general rule of getting them set up? Is it saddle forward, bars down try and get your back flat with elbows at right angles? Might have to set them up on the turbo tonight looking at the mirror.

I wear tights for recovery from long hard rides and when I'm doing multiday stuff, I think it helps. I was at a talk by some guy from SIS last year basically about nutrician but someone asked him about them. He was wearing some at the time for recovery and travelling but also said he wore them time trialing and gained 1 or 2 more watts.

The mech hanger got bent on my old road bike while travelling with easyjet, not badly, I managed to bend it back but it hasn't been used a great deal since as I got a new bike, don't think it would last long.
I've travelled loads with bikes and that is the only problem I've had, I used to get away with cycling my bike there and turning the bars round and it always came back perfect. I definately have got less confidence taking my bike now and try to avoid it at all costs. Would only use a soft case for MTB's and if I have to take my carbon road bike I'll be getting a hard case or the dakine one. Hopefully that should be a thing of the past though as my new frame with S&S couplings arrives tommorow!
