I'm riding down this Sunday. (Weather - showers this end and sunny spells by the sea). Leaving earlyish. Decent pace but not rushing. Fish n chips and ale on the beach. Who fancies it?

I heard that Barrie has retired to ride his bike more.

My guess is that the whole tony malarky gave Barrie an early retirement option - it must have been absolutely sickening for the family to see their firm eventually disappear in a cloud of tony's bs, but it can't have been making much money at all. So, on balance, getting a chunk of unexpected cash, and early retirement, in exchange for the firm must have been a good deal for Barrie.

I also heard that he's still doing bits and bobs (but not wanting to be to busy) alongside Ron Cooper.

Some great riding from the norffs today... Sasmon murdering me round RP, and then Deluka and JD putting scrapes and injury behind for a fine show on hernia hill. Great display of drinking from the rest of you!
