it was explained further up thread, they're processed once a day either early morning or late evening.
right, and i read that - but that was a second hand report, and i thought maybe someone who actually works for seedrs could explain this in more detail and also if they're doing anything to change it, as it seems (to me at least) that it's an extremely foolish way of doing it.

@oscradavenport - i may be interested in those, have been trying for a few years (!!) to do up a frame that i know is pre-1953 (when the builder died) but not exactly sure of the date - probably 50 or 51. what sort of price did you have in mind?
nb, i'm currently not in the country, but back in a few days. cheers.

skully, sorry i didn't look at this before i went - mass was fantastic, one of the best i've been on (i haven't been in a while, tho). we went over the bridge and then straight up to euston, turned left and headed all the way to paddington, through both the underpass and the overpass. fantastic! then, lots of little streets down through queensway, back along hyde park to marble arch, down to victoria and around to parliament square. obligatory circling around the green (actually in the green!) by some, while the rest hung out for a little while. from there, up to trafalgar square, again a bit of a stop, starting to get smaller, up tottenham court road, then hung a right over towards gower street/bloomsbury again - but i drifted off at this point as it was about half nine and i needed to get food.

I used the tube all the time while I had a BMX (and even sometimes with the track bike if there was a mechanical). The trick is to remove the front wheel. I pointed out that I was no longer pushing a bike but carrying two seperate bits of lugage or 'bike parts' wich arnt covered by the no bike rule. Worked every time.
i've done this, too - although i think i might have had to take the back wheel off, too: then it definitely wasn't a bike! (and, i didn't get bothered by anyone...)

OK, the council are currently saying that this is nothing to do with them, and that it appears that TFL have moved the bike. They pointed me at this article: http://www.camdennewjournal.com/news/2012/feb/ghost-riders-%E2%80%93-cyclists-king%E2%80%99s-cross-go-slow-protest
Has the bike gone, or in fact just been moved?
I just checked. That article is correct: it's in the south side locked to traffic light at crossing.

hi, i have to agree with oliver: no inference at all can be made about what happened from what is reported in the papers, and it is much more likely that the woman was just careless and did not look before opening her door rather than maliciously was trying to knock off and kill a cyclist, as suggested by several of the posters on this forum. unfortunately, in incidents such as this, there are many victims - most of them are hidden, even if people like to focus on the obvious one.
as a separate comment, i am pleased to say that cyclists being killed in this manner (i.e. getting knocked off by people opening their car doors) has not been a common cause of death in london in the past. however, with various changes over the years, it is likely to become relatively more frequent... but i guess this is not the place to discuss statistics.
in any case, my condolences to James Darby's family.

If you read the ad it says "I brought them", I would rather buy them and sell them on than they be chucked in the skip, £50 quid is cheap for one of these and I know that artists or people who work in similiar professions would be genuinely interested in such a bargain. maybe instead of questioning my motives you should look at why I had to pay for them when they were as good as skipped, and there is nothing wrong with a bit of entreprenuerial spirit in the right place.... doing nothing, I am having to justify my actions to you arent I !! get of your fuckin high horse!!!
i can read. i also understand english. "brought" does not imply any money was exchanged. otoh, "bought" (yes, no 'r') does imply that you paid for them, which would be quite a different scenario.
oh yeah, and i don't own a horse, nor do i know how to ride one.

https://london.indymedia.org/articles/9746 <== some interesting thoughts on it all
personally, i totally understand where the kids are coming from, though i do not condone the violence. yet when you get fucked daily by those up on high, while politicians are jetsetting on their summer holidays, is it any wonder? most of the kids on my estate haven't been away in.... well, ever?!
i don't blame them. i blame the ConDems and the lunacy cuts, the fact that there is no conduit between a 14 or 15 year old that allows them to communicate with 'adult' society. instead, the adults just rip them off, pay them peanuts - or won't give 'em a job in the first place.
perhaps i should clarify that a little bit: it seems particularly foolish to keep people waiting for their own money if it's going to prevent them from investing.
however, i also asked the same thing of seedrs and got the following reply from jeff:
so, i hope that helps people who are currently having difficulties in transferring money over. unfortunately, i guess it's not much good if you're not allowed to invest yet due to failing their questionnaire and awaiting further checks. but i think it will help people who are having difficulty with the driving license/national insurance/other ID step (oliver schick?)
