My thoughts exactly. What a waste of time - and effort, if you could call it that.

Both have wind/waterproof panels on the front - the DW's are a slightly heavier fabric than the PT's, the PT's benefit from higher stretch, easier range of movement, and optimal breathability if you're generating a lot of heat. I'm based in London, and the DW's come out on the coldest days, the PT's are great the rest of time it's cold and windchill is a factor. Not surprised you were cold today in regular tights, bit nippy out!

Am I alone in this? I opened an (rare for me) on-line purchase from Rapha - a merino wool top - and was disappointed to find a Made in China label inside. Doesn't seem right somehow. On many levels. Anyway it's going back.

Currently has a worn 52 ring but comes with (used) replacement with plenty more miles, and crank cap. You'll need the splined tool to install properly, and a crank bolt tool to replace the ring. Great cranks, light, easy to service, I run these with a single ring fixed. £40

^Think of it as an all-in-one PT Tight/PTJ; a windproof/waterproof front on anything in the wind + dwr'd Roubaix fleece backs for breathability and comfortable fit. Has a broad range of temperature/environment depending on layers.

There's much less bulk at the front peak seam, with improved stretch in the round, so more comfortable, no more seam impression, and perfect under a helmet.

The construction has been redesigned for AW15 to ensure there's no buildup of seam bulk at the peak, improve stretch, and fit a wider size range - I'll try to post a pic of the detail next week.

Hi Jammy, I've an alu one from an XC, 10spd, would this be compatible?

It's the same fabric as the shortsleeve Pro Team Jersey, and the armwarmers/screens I wear the majority of the time. Good for cool mornings/evenings (pack small to go into a pocket), and work great in the heat for sun protection. I recently got burned on the 1st day of a week in the Pyrenees. Rode perfectly comfortably in 25-30º+ sunshine wearing them to cover up. Be good to know what you make of them
