hi all, apologies as ever for absence, lots going on here (inc a trip to the CTT Champions lunch at the weekend)
@pacef8 cheers for re-posting, that's the one. In a really lovely dark/drab olive too (flipside to the orange of the Baby Burner)
@ghostface sorry it's taken so long to get to this - often glitches with codes when sale is running, but back online now. Cheers for the heads up
@scraplab nice one - if the patches aren't peoples thing, a trick is to apply on the interior of the scuff instead (use a lighter to singe/finish loose threads first)
@jps2904 ...keeps getting bumped! I will post here as soon as I know
@Jameo yes, definitely difference in the cuts, and mens will have broader shoulders and squarer to the waist, but(!) proportionally the hem/hip is narrower, so can come up too tight on female form even if a good fit across shoulders - and obvs chest is another consideration. Not sure where you are, but let me know if I can help if your partner would like to drop into Deptford (or Condor & Pinarello stocking too).
@gdkhgd great to meet, perfect timing with that weather crashing in!
@pacef8 got some other irons in the fire for Pertex products too :) Will post info here as soon as I can.
@exteroceptive gahhh, sorry about that - I thought you were about the same size (Medium) as me??! Let me know if I/we can help, basic adjustments would be a pleasure! -
But just to add more complexity to the issue, not all fluro-polymers are equal it seems. - I mentioned I was frustrated at the lack of info around different formulas, but it seems ePTFE has been deemed ok to continue using, its just the chemicals used in the formulation are the nasty stuff;
https://www.gore-tex.com/en_uk/sustainability/protect-the-planet/reduce-chemical-impacts
I originally thought - wrongly - that ePTFE membranes would be phased out.

@greentricky lovely :) My brothers bought me a pair as a (very generous) birthday present a few years back. The clarity and colour is astounding, and so compact (although I frequently kick myself for not having them with me day-to-day). Enjoy!
@Ludd stunning photos as ever, thank you!
-
@ElGonzo I'd love to say yes (and see you!), but afraid we don't keep any stock at studio - this is all warehoused where the experts can take care of it
@Sergeant_Pluck cheers for the feedback & thank you, normal service now resumed.
@bur70n_ which jacket did you try, and I'm guessing mens style? The 'on-bike' jackets like Rain Jacket 3.0, Lightweight Insulated, are cut with shoulders/arms forward, so might feel tight across the shoulders if stood upright? I'd say fit is consistent with Rapha, and a typical male body type. Hello if we met at Bespoked!
And thanks for all the feedback on the Zoa insulated - totally agree, it's got to be cold-cold to wear if you're putting a bit of effort in (but great to have stashed if stopping). I mentioned before xmas there's a lightweight version in development, click through to the Zoa hat draw vid for a sneak peak, ~60% of the weight/volume of the standard version.

hi all, happy new year, sorry I've been off here; was out sick most of xmas break :/ and trying to reduce screen time. Recovering now, but an absolute bummer of a year end (following the recurring leg infection and rage-rage smashed ribs) having been the fittest I'd been for ages in September....!
@ghostface well spotted - we have a new gen coming in Spring, with a few additional tweaks. The cuff closure is similar to the Zoa Rainshell, with the wrap-round, meaning easier to get on/off, greater adjustment, and venting if/when needed. Rear elastic has been refined/eliminated, and it has the function of two-way front zip but with convenience of single slider (going to be interesting to see peoples reaction to this!). ...will post more details as and when I can
Thanks for the feedback/guidance on the Zoa Rain trouser all, agree with all the points. I found a Large fitted me (6ft 4 long legs, L in bibs) as well as other Large body types in the studio (stockier, proportionally shorter legs), with the ankle cuff allowing a wide range of fit in leg.
@snoops great to see :) If you need, you can cut a patch into shape, fuse edges with a lighter/hot knife - and if you're not feeling the colour and can handle a scuffy look to the fix, just apply the patch on the interior and wave a lighter over external to fuse loose threads
@Sergeant_Pluck it's got a soft, fine inner layer on the laminate, so v comfy against skin and not clammy.

@honk gahhh, really sorry to hear - I saw your IG post, been keeping my eyes open round Deptford :/
Alas no, the factory very recently closed down, but I'll ask about if we have anything for you! -
@CalAmor this is awesome, very kind of you - got to you just in time for the temp drop
Thanks for all the Zoa comments and feedback, also appreciated. Really pleased with all the Zoa products, completely the result of hands-on/3D development between a fantastic team and the top fabrics.
@Ndeipi They're durable, but certainly not like a hiking or climbing jacket with Cordura shoulder panels for heavy packs/straps/ropes. Backpack more suited with evenly distributed weight, than abrasion from a courier bag being pulled around one shoulder. ...this has got me thinking though, perhaps abrasion panels could be bonded on for specific purposes....
Although we're sub-zero atm, the eagle-eyed among you might have spotted the Lightweight Zoa in the vid link I posted of the hat draw ;) coming next season.
And latest on the Zoa hat; now January launch! Too much on before xmas, so held back. Keep your eyes open for a few in the wild this December. -
Albion stocked in Pinarello, Condor and Sigma in London, but we were unable to restock Zoa Rainshells to them this season because we had such limited amount - I think Condor had some left from previous season. Understand it's v frustrating, I'd want to see, and try-on a high price jacket, see the details, check layering etc, but it's aligned with a slow-growth approach, reducing risk/overstock etc.
If anyone is in SE London, you are always welcome to drop into studio in Deptford, Mon-Fri, to look at kit, just give me a heads up and I can check first on sizes/styles for you. Always nice to meet Forumers (and put a face to a cryptic digital pseudonym).

There is in orange, or Black w/ orange hood? If it's black you're after, can't promise, but could try to track one down for you.
And thanks for the comment @Bainbridge all credit down to the great team here, plus Pertex and Primaloft getting behind things :)
-
And thank you for posting - @andylum shout if you need any more info/help. Was pretty well resolved and clean in the end.

For the double pocket zipper/gloved hand, take out the cord puller on the one you don't want to grab, and add something bigger to the remaining one/replace with bigger loop?
We were just talking this morning about doing some pieces on details like this*; I'm really in favour of allowing users to interpret/adapt clothing to their preference.
*was more to do with the lightweight luggage and different ways of tailoring/using/stashing.

....in third (merino hat); @CalAmor
.....in second (Zoa Burner Musette) @user6370
Not sure if this will work, but daft video of the draw here. Note; I say the wrong prizes for 3rd and 2nd, think I said Micro Musette by mistake
....and the cap winner; @Double_J
Dm me and I'll arrange dispatch. Watch this space for launch date.
edit; had set permissions to view link, but something wasn't working. Trying again!
edit2; duh, forgot to include this photo -
ok! printing out names for the draw....
@Eejit appreciated, cheers

Yeah, super weird behaviour. @amey was that uphill stretch on Brenchley Gardens, where they've put in those daft pinch point crossing things :/ Had previously been riding on the pavement to avoid this exact situation. Driver was in a column of traffic, absolutely nothing to gain with the overtake. Possibility they were on their phone, b/c vid shows them clutching a phone with lit screen when they've got out and started running at me.
-
Ooof, v sorry to hear. No consolation, but I was close-passed/clipped then assaulted by a driver on Wednesday night :/ Spent Thurs morning in A&E. If you look in the vids you can see I've got a wrist support on. That +severely bruised ribs = entertaining pangs of shooting pain throughout the day.
Incident/attack was recorded on a cycliq video, police report filed.
If it's Albion kit you need repaired, send the cuff adjustment in with it and I'll take care of that at same time :)
-
Thanks all for the enthusiasm, odds still looking healthy for a prize tonight, ~1-in-25 :) Draw at 6pm, will post info as soon as possible after.
....I'm also going to try to pin down the date/time launch to let you know. Sorry, this isn't under my control, but down the line on the warehouse/web end of things.

Cool to see the machines in action and jacket fit is perfect now
Any chance you could post some pics of the adjustment, and @andylum can use as reference for his sleeve adjustment at home/repairs/tailor. Sorry, I didn't think to take photos
Tired? It was the exhilaration of everything going on!
Yes, definitely use a cotton layer/tea-towel in between iron and the patch. Scroll to bottom for full instructions;

@exteroceptive yes, thank you, back on it :)
