I'm amazed (well, surprised) that some people are still having a discussion about climate change and man's contribution to it. Come on, these are both facts! Putting aside the thousands and thousands of scientists who are in complete agreement, doesn't common sense tell you that if we pump massive amounts of pollutants into the atmosphere and cut down huge swaths of the worlds forests as we have been doing for the last 150 years, we are going to do some damage to our environment?

But if common sense isn't your thing, then just look at the IPCC. Hundreds of scientists from all around the world, meeting and coming up with a consensus opinion, which is that humans are making a significant impact on climate change. To dispute this is like arguing against evolution.

The only argument should be what are we going to do about climate change, or as mentioned above, if we can't stop it, how are we going to live with it.

I reckon most people in and out of the league were looking forward to season 1 finishing and season 2 to start soon after (May/June whatever).

But a few people didn't want the league to start till Winter and so now we are making over complicated systems to try and come up with a fix.

I say start a new league season in May and have a short break for the Euros. However many new teams and however long the season takes...

Throw in lots of mallets, pick out 6, play the game. Then throw in all the mallets again, apart from those that just played, pick out 6, play the game. Repeat til sundown, then head to mitch/newington.

If you want fair and simple, there it is.

Do this with 30+ mallets and someone isn't going to get a game the entire day. Sorry, but that aint fair.

Dividing those 30 mallets into 5 games, then after they have played, throw them all in and do it again makes sure everyone plays. Fair and simple.

Yeah, if 30 people are throwing in, then we decide 5 games each throw in. It also means you will definitely play once every 5 games. That's fair.

If we just decide 1 or 2 games, then some people will play 2 or 3 games every 5 games, some people will play none. That's random, not fair!

well if any of you are ever down essex way one of the best curry houses around is sharod indian restaurant in barkingside, its not too far from east london at all (about 8-9 miles from Shoreditch) i'd be well up for arranging a trip down sometime if anyone else is? I know the guys there really well, been going there for about 8 years before I moved to London recently, they even have their own facebook appreciation group :).
