so this morning i was hearing the usual clicks and ticks on my Quick that seemed to have developed the last week or so. i was under the vague impression that the chain was a little on worn out side, as i had heard a similar noise before i got my last chain upgrade. anyways, 1.5 miles in to the morning 6 mile commute, the noise gets a bit more severe, i can feel the clicks and then i brake hard. not of my will. the chain tension was still crumby, so i popped the chain off to see what was to blame. the bb was fine, which left the back wheel the culprit. yep, locked tight and no tyre/frame rub anywhere. i then noticed the 5mm gap between the right side bearing nut thing and the spacer washer. i had recently replaced the washer that sits against the frame as it cracked and lost 1/4 of itself. the track nuts and stuff where still tight and the spacer nut thing pressed tightly up to the drop out. somehow the nuts outside the bearings had tightened and tightened till the wheel locked suddenly. i hadn't noticed any gradual stiffness, just a bit of noise. so 4 miles left, no buses will take me on cos i had a bike so i had to stump £15 for a taxi to work. :(

hello! for those who "ran out of money" last night, didn't make it or what ever i have some of these t-shirts left over.
Gildan ultra cotton shirts, sizes M (fits like a large) and S (fits like a medium... go figure) in black with a white screen print.
sweet as a nut and they've got a skull on them so you can back up that all hard talk and look like a tough guy. or gal.

all that for just £15! i can post for £2 or you can pick up at polo on a sunday/from my house in E2.
paypal is ok, but folding golden nuggets are good too.thanks! :D

non japanese risers on a non japanese stem? ;)
grabbing nitto bits from the shop would be simple and effective, even FGL risers would look ace. since i think there'll be some 'trial and error' in the stem etc just grab something convenient for now and maybe change it later for that 'must have'.
sexy bike by the way sexy lady.

hoping the right tools can loosen it all up, then depending on the health of the bearings it might not be too much trouble/dollar.
