I'm off on the 8th and ferry back around the 18th so will be doing it a rather less leisurely pace although gears will help. I'll probably simply cycle to San Sebastian and train from there to Bilbao and Santander (would like to ride but not enough time).

Have you got route mapped or playing it by ear? May well see you on the road

Did you look at the VeloCharger Hub? It's been recommended to me (after my original post) and Spa are selling it for the less than princely sum of £42...

Having a wheel built (cheers @arup) with SP dynamo hub for upcoming tour.

Initially it'll be for charging smartphone (for maps and photos) but ultimately want to add in lights as well. I am looking at BUSCH & MULLER E-werk and USB-Werk devices to enable USB charging but keen to hear of any better alternatives that won't break the bank.

Hackney Cycling Campaign are looking to run a cargo bike competition next weekend as an add on to the Cycling and Walking Festival next weekend at Finsbury Park...probably more family than furious #messlife action but hopefully be a chance to those with cargo bikes to get out and about
