Figure we're all going through the batteries with the evenings as they are. Given this, figure it's worth asking a few questions

Do you get your money's worth when you buy more expensive batteries or is it a fool's game and your much better off buying Hyundai or whatever other batteries are on offer down at the pound store?

A more specific question, does anyone have a good value source for lithium ion batteries (AA)- needing to pick some up for a Dinotte light and keen to hear recommendations

I was being a bit melodramatic re Hackney's public transport but also know that quite a few of my friends who live and cycle in Hackney probably wouldn't if there was a convenient tube link for them. That said, they're now converted to the two wheels.

I'm definitely with Kattt on this one, I really like the idea but also find my blood pressure rise whenever I come into direct contact with public transport so don't fancy going a week without...might be a bit different if I lived next to a tube station but i live in Hackney which is described as London's most cycle friendly borough but might be more aptly described as most poorly served by public transport

I've updated some details on the front page of this thread. Planning on having a set off from Royal Inn on the Park for those who don't know the area really well. Will post up details of where the exact details are on Google maps later but getting there with 'tour guide' will be a whole lot easier for those who aren't familiar with the Wick.

Problem is finding cheap flights to many of these Southern European locations given that Easyjet/Ryanair tend to simply fly there during summer. Looking at opting to visit friends in Germany now due to lack of flights

Stopwatches aren't a make or break but a nice to have (we've had them for East Drinks TT in the past).

we'll probably be getting to a point soon where we'll have to ease off on the number of additions as we don't want to be there till late particularly as a few people want to get off to Agata's send off. That being said, there's plenty of room for spectators and the like and there'll be more of the same further down the line when the weather is toastier.

We'll look to have directions on the front page in the near future.

If we can get some of you down for 7 we'd be grateful as this will allow us to get the ball rolling quickly.
