i don't want to cap the ride for ride outs. however there are problems that arise with rides over 20. The obvious ones include more chance of punctures and technicals but also include the pack getting splintered. For that reason it is really important to make sure the speed stays comfortable. We all know how groups tend to subconsciously up the pace without meaning to but please try to ease off without crawling. BMMF will be at the front so if you find yourself ahead of him ask yourself this question ' what the fuck am i doing out here?' if the answer is ' hey nobody tells me how fast to ride and if i get lost it's my problem' then try riding at night on the other six days of the week and do us all one.
Time is going to be tight so equally no dawdling at the back. please check your bike for the basic mechanicals to keep stuff down to the minimum and as we say each and every time....make sure you feel that if you got left on your own you could sort yourself out.

Bumped into this on my way home last night, with people standing around at a junction in the Holborn area...left me with the impression I am definitely over Critical Mass, the object seems to be to piss off as many motorists as possible rather than the opportunity for cyclists to safely ride around together

All for cyclists asserting their rights but don't want a situation where motorists are even more angry towards cyclists than they already are (with the negative consequences this has for my own safety)

Anyone riding this w/end? Need some time out on the road

I'm thinking I might ride to Poole/Bournemouth either tomorrow or Saturday depending on weather and motivation. Anyone interested?

Was having a chat with Shootthebreeze last night about how nice it would be to get some footage of the Tuesday Night Ride Club recorded. For those of us who take part, it's often a regular highlight racing down country lanes chasing red flashing LEDs.

I was wondering if there was anyone out there who had a camera that we could borrow or alternatively would like to come along on a TNRC ride. Just be aware that much of the footage will be in the dark away from street lights (albeit lit up by strong bicycle lights) so would require a decent bit of kit.

Any offers gratefully received.

If you don't think you can make it round in time for the last train 2 and three quarter hours approx, then don't put your name down. If you get lost and you don't have a map and we don't find you because there is patchy phone reception at best, then enjoy the scenery.
