Yes, i bought one and followed IFixits instructions to install it. Then use the disk utility on the install disk to format it.

on the subject of pain, has anyone had their thighs tattooed? got a whole day booked at Jayne Doe and I'm more than slightly concerned that I'm not going to last more than three hours... worst I've had before is a two hour stint on my foot.

depends on who is doing them I've had mine done by someone there and they are fine.
except for the big cycle muscle parts of your thighs..
foot/ankle hurts a hell of alot more.

self ride/drive - yeah they tell you to take them somewhere for 10-15mins.
Had to go from a country lane and along the motorway.
This is the first week they have done it.
