My first long ride with my Grobag today.

Fit snug and comfortably, even when I was bouncing along on bumpy downhills, and my haul of apples didn't even get bruised. Minimal mashing of marmalade sandwiches.

Just incase you didn't know, the Archie is within the size limit for handluggage, and is plenty big, so I didn't need to take any hold luggage on my holiday.

Sorry I didn't get to speak to many of you, but those damn hills showed me the back door.

I got on the A233, past Biggin Hill, and stayed on the A-Roads all the way home. Smooth, flat roads where my 73 inch gear can be used to the fullest - so I had a fun fast ride most of the way back.

Different route this year, Stompy. You won't be riding up Westerham Hill on your way home, but up Croydon Road/Clarks Lane. It tackles the same ridge but over a longer distance, meaning less of a gradient. Quite a nice little climb.

You'll see it on the way down anyway.

I changed to those exact bars earlier this year from drops.

I like the extra positions it gives my hands, and I didn't have levers on the drops so this simulates those positions. I very rarely got on the bottom of the drops, and I find that with these I have much better leverage when climbing.

They come in a range of widths, so you could always get one of the narrow ones for clearance in traffic.
