okay quick word with snowy, and others last night, anticipation is high for south beers on tour. So here is a probably route. Start off in a pub in borough say 6pm -7pm, what was the one we went to last year when BRM cracked his head open, its where two pubs open out onto the same courtyard, kinda tudor looking.
Anyway possibly start there, or some other borough boozer which people may find preferable, thence to camberwell for the sun and doves, el squire anything you can do on the food front?
http://www.beerintheevening.com/pubs/s/34/3404/Sun_and_Doves/CamberwellSo possibly stock up on food, then onwards to the mighty prince regent in herne hill
http://www.beerintheevening.com/pubs/s/72/7278/Prince_Regent/Herne_Hilland also possibly dropping in on the effra,
http://www.beerintheevening.com/pubs/s/13/1391/Effra_Hall_Tavern/Brixtonmaybe before or after we go to the mansion
http://www.beerintheevening.com/pubs/s/27/27757/Mansion/Gipsy_Hillbefore heading back to ye olde coach and horses.
obviously all pubs up for negotiation, if you know of another better/more bike suitable pub in the same locale, punt it forward. Lets just be clear though we will need bike parking/beer garden/ railings to lock up the worthy steeds, so if its just a good boozer it might not be suitable...
So come on put in your tuppence worth and we'll get this thing going. Just four more days until the bog off..

I've got the sks race blades, couldn't use the front as it didn't really fit the cut of my fork. But the rear is fine it just needs a bit of care with initial set up and use, otherwise you have to adjust it constantly to stop it from rubbing against the wheel, which gets a bit annoying, but rather that than a wet arse....

okay here's the dilly OH!
We will be drinking from some suitably early time centrally (5.30-6.30pm), then heading on a wobbly, drunken mission to hit various pub spots in the southern region of london.
Right now these venues have been gleaned from the original south beers on tour thread.prince regent (herne hill)
duke of edinburgh (brixton)
the grove (camberwell)
sun and doves (camberwell)
half moon (herne hill)
hermits cave (camberwell)
the ship (wandsworth)
and the greyhound (dulwich village)if you have any others in mind, feel free to post up, we (meaning me and the other regulars of south beers) will decide on five or six pubs which we will frequent on the night in question before making loud noises at the other occupants of said venues, traffic driving on the street, and passerbys as we make our ways back to whichever bed we'll be sleeping in that night.
Come join us, for drunken merriment in the dirty south...
Make lists, debate, make it happen people.
that is all..

obviously this is going to be an afterwork thing, so I'm thinking half six, maybe seven. Some people will want to get in early, but we'll just all meet at the first pub on the list.
I'll PM VB to get the thread title changed, and then we'll get into the knock down drag out fight/discussion to decide which pubs we go to and in which order... -

maybe if your like me and relatively new to this you dont want to be lambasted for asking what may seem like "stupid questions". Certainly the attitude on these forums has often intimidated new comers that i have met through buying off the classifieds and has even put me off attending "drinks" or other events in fear of being ignored for not being part of the "clique".
mullerbugs,
there are no cliques on this forum, (well not many) if you come out to one of the myriad drinks that are conveniently located in the four main corners of london, you'd see this fairly clearly. People on here are fairly passionate about this internet place as we feel it is special, unique, almost in that many of us have been out on rides (something I urge you to do, if you haven't signed up for the bridges on the 15th you should), attend drinks, and generally know more about each other than most other forums, so there is more camraderie here, and a desire to protect what is ours, Dogsballs is slightly more vociferous in this, in this case, than others are. But there is a general feeling that people who sell on here, should engage in the forum banter and ethos, rather than seeing this as another place to sell their wares.
I should just say that I personally have no issue with retro di corsa selling on here, as the testimonals above attest he's a valued part of the forum and community, and I hope he comes out for the bridges ride to engage in more good fellow cycling feeling. So to end mullerbugs, come out on a ride, attend a drink, and you'll discover our internet bark is much worse than our bite, and if your afraid of posting a stupid question, then it just means you haven't searched hard enough on the site for the answer.
