As per our discussion teen, pjs, and skoota, found this quote
Claude Debussy "music is the space between notes
then you've got this one
BB King "sometimes its the notes that you don't play that matter."
though the one we were discussing was
"its not the notes you play its the notes you don't play"which doesn't seem to have any author, well if you search through google, if you find out who said it let me know.
good night, good turnout, and good to see jim after his crash and jim sr, who regaled us with tales of hurtling down hills on 54x18.

whether you like it or not me was still entitled to his opinion.to bully his until he removes it is shocking...i feel this place has dropped to a new low.
don't think anyone is saying ME didn't have a right to voice his opinion, its just that the majority of the posters on this thread, thought that he'd gone a step too far, too early, in posting his grievance here before airing them to Brixton cycles, I don't think it was bullying most of the posts on this thread are quite articulate about the process each individual thought ME should have gone through before resorting to posting up his feelings on the forum, he can take that anyway he wants really, Dale went a bit OTT, but thats Dale (obviously ME doesn't know Dale, but Dale's opinion and his way of expressing it is HIS, not everyone else in this particular thread. Personally I think ME expected a bit more sympathy than he got and the rally of support for Brixton cycles rattled him a bit. If one thing comes from this I'm hoping its that people take their grievances to the person/parties involved, before airing it on the forum.

cornelius took me on the longest route home possible without going outside the M25 - but kept reassuring me it was the quickest way.
the longest route home possible.
dude it's the quickest route, a|I would have taken you through putney and down through wandsworth to clapham, but I prefer the other route.
and now you know another way to get home from west london. knowledge is king baby!

if your budget is that small then you'll have to patient, plenty of people on the forum are selling complete bikes for upwards of £250, stretch the budget and you'll get something nice, you get what you pay for in all things. Be realistic about what you want and what you can afford, but don't do yourself a disservice by being too cheap, if you're after a stolen bike from brick lane (bad karma) then your budget will be enough if you want to get a foot on the ladder spend some more and get a bike which you'll be proud to call your own.

I've never had anything but good service from brixton cycles, and its been my lbs for as long as I can remember, if you had issues with the service, and it seems like it wasn't upto brixton cycles usual high quality, best to ask to speak to manager, write a letter of complaint, get recompense right then and there, rather than spending time writing the missive out and posting it up on the forum. If you get bad service, have issues with your shop, speak to them about it, then they can sort the problem/person, ideally without dirty laundry being aired in public. Right now we're a bit too british/english in our need to appear polite, if something isn't as you would like or what you'd expect, or you feel you've paid too much for too little, swallow your politeness and let them know its not good enough, you'll get a better response doing it directly rather than anonymously on a forum such as this.
Hope your bike is built up, and you enjoy riding it, but I would urge you to give brixton cycles another go as they are as far as I'm concerned one of the best lbs' in london, and the majority of their staff are knowledgeable and courteous to a fault. -

I'm going to be in my house this evening, working hard, and trying to regain my voice. I know its not more than ten minutes away bu this weather's got me depressed and I'd rather sit in my house, then venture out.

pisser about the rain, the weateher turned out to be not to bad, ust not enough time for the track to dry out so we could get the race programme in, teen_slain (joe) is gonna reschedule, just not quite sure when. Good turnout despite the inclement weather to begin with, probably 20-30. Hopefully with good weather we'll have at least 50 out.
Keep your eyes peeled for the new date -
