morgybaby, if you've got nothing good to post, don't post it. Comment on stuff which amuses you, enlightens you, or confuses you, don't use your first five posts as number count until you can start your own thread. That way leads to opprobrium and possible banishment by our esteemed leader velocity boy, also it marks you out as a bit of **** (insert own four letter expletive here).
So for the love of (insert own hallowed religious icon here) please don't do it. Ask questions, banter join in the spreading of information, but don't just post the numbers leading upto five in random threads.that is all..

dale, don't talk out of your arse, I work in TV for a living, if someone on the forum wants to take a photo of me whilst on the bridges I've got no problem with that, I know nothing will happen with that footage apart from people on here will look at it and say look there's corny on the bridges ride. If it were to go further (appear in magazines/documentaries etc) I would exert my rights if I so wished to make sure my image wasn't used. if some stranger comes upto me in the street and wants to take my photo I'll generally decline, if it happens when I'm out clubbing I'll decline. My image isn't for sale, neither is my character or personality. I choose not to appear in front of camera to promote anything. That is my personal preference, if they have a release and consent form I won't sign it, or if, as is usually the case, a sign saying by my being there I consent to being filmed, I stay away from the cameras.
this isn't a case fo your mates/friends/acquaintances taking a photo of you and putting it up on facebook, this is a production company filming you for their profit, with you having no recourse to how you are portrayed, you won't get to decide how they edit an interview with you, what images they put over the top, what music they decide to pad it out with, what the voiceover says, what time the programme will be scheduled, what it will be titled, how you will be asked to promote it. None of that is within your control, which is why I don't do TV.
If you have any other questions or statements about a subject you know nothing about, please feel free not to ask me about it... -

Came in on the tube this morning, and saw an article in Shortlist, that free mens magazine you get on a thursday.
Saville Row tailor Richard James has collaborated with Condor on a £4k carbon fixed bike, in black and gold.
website link below, click on collections and then on bespoke bike, to see the aforementioned £4k machine in the flesh, so to speakhttp://www.richardjames.co.uk/
With Saville Row jumping in, can the high street be far behind...
Or is this a case of Saville Row following the high street, Unipack anyone... -
garage band ftw.
grab tracks from itunes, pull into garage band, once you've opened up a new music project.
you can either put them on one channel, or overlap them across several, fiddle with the levels to make sure that none are peaking, export to itunes, and then change aiff file to an mp3.
bish bosh bash.. -
hippy's got one for sale a couple of years old £130

my thing would be and we are living in a democracy, but what the night is and does is up for grabs, but rather than it being about A DJ taking you on a personal musical journey, shouldn't it be about playing good tunes, in a really lighthearted and laidback arena, and since there's going to be a lot of crossover amongst the dj's in terms of banging funk/soul tunes, wouldn't it be nicer not to have to worry about creating a set, and some other DJ playing that tune that you wanted to, but more about having a good time?
Also who will play the early slots, as those are generally the ones no one wants to play?
Obviously I'm not a DJ, so y'all can tell me whether having shorter or longer sets is best, if longer is deemed more suitable, I would still say that there needs to be a way of getting the bright times, oneupmanship/flow of tunes into the night somehow...my tuppence,
that is all.. -

bright times night!!!
was having a quick chat with damo, skully, and teenslain at south beers, before I bailed out early, but we were thinking of doing a bright times night in late jan, maybe early feb, then having one every couple of months, possibly quarterly after that. Skully's got a venue in mind, I'm thinking Multigrooves has a couple as well.
Thinking in the new year because after christmas everyone needs to be cheered up, also the run up to christmas is fast approaching and its already looking hectic, not much space in anyone's diary.
As posited before if not in this thread in the other bright times thread, there are so many mans with records, thinking that we do really short 3-5 record sets, immediately followed by someone else, so everyone gets to play, and everyone gets to drink, later on in the night we can shorten how many records people get to play like say 1-2 before the next ones on.
So what say you all to a) figuring out a date, b) sourcing a venue, c) sorting out some flyers/designs for said night, and d) letting the thread know if you'd actually come out for such a night.
I'll start a poll later, with suggested dates, venues, once everyone's had their say in here.
that is all. -

I saw this a couple of months ago, and it made me laugh long and hard.
personally I think if shonky airline girls boyfriend follows cycling he would have told her that Cav's four Tdf stage wins are on of equal if not higher value as winning gold at the olympics.
