mdja Sorry but I'm going to interrupt here and ask if anyone knows where one can get a tall stem - the sort they have on nice upright bikes. I've looked on ebay and on the online shops etc but can't find anything even though I see lots of bikes out there what have them.
Have a gander for a Nitto Technomic.
Hubjub keep them, maybe SJS too.

hippy I know what Columbus tubing is, I meant "which bikes uses columbus"? Wasn't the comparison with alu bikes? Or do YOU have a Columbus frame?
Is the alu tubing on the Dolan Columbus? Is the Argon tubing Columbus Alu as well? Did Columbus really sail as far as he claims? Is the earth flat?Thought so. Yes. Nearly. No, it's tinfoil. No, it's tinfoil with a posh name. Probably not. Flat enough for 49x18.

hippy They are designed for track racing you know.. stiff as fsck.. aero.. clean.. aluminium happens to be pretty good for this. Don't discount it just because it's not a custom-built 953 blah-di-blah..
Columbus, actually.... ;-P
Wouldn't like to see anyone else as disappointed as I was with my last frame purchase.

Whatever Argon calls it, it's still just bog-standard aluminium.
Can't believe it isn't related to this tat:
