I really want to go cycling/camping in France this year and check out a tour stage
and
I really want to play polo at the Euros in Geneva! It's such a shame I can't play polo on my road bike and I definitely can't manage those hills on my polo bike.
I think we'll go touring in France again some point this year, but unfortunately probably not at the same time as le tour/euros. Sounds like a fab idea though and definitely worth checking out a mountain stage.
Are you planning on camping? If so, we've probably got lots of tips.

Are they donating prizes to an event, providing equipment, sponsoring a league, paying a reasonabe modeling fee....?
I'd hope they weren't sponsoring our league as this is something we have decided to keep 'owned by the players'. There are lots of players who want nothing to do with corporate involvement etc.
Its up to organisers of each tournament whether to accept prize donations, and then up to individuals whether they want to take part or not/ or accept prizes. Same with this I guess.

this ride is gonna be intense.
ha har!
I'm thinking of going just as an excuse to use our tent again. I highly recommend the terra nova laser competition tent, weighing only 940g. Described as a "1+ man tent", it comfortably sleeps 2 people who are very close! It was perfect for me and Dave for 2 weeks in France :D

Turd, I don't think Newington will be playable. When I went past last night, there was still a lot of snow (although it was like wet snow that we could have swept off rather than the icy snow it was at the weekend). But after last night's snow, its going to be a massive mission to make that playable today.
I could be persuaded to play at Peckham - need to go home first to get bike and mallet. Thursday is better for me though..

T-boning is not acceptable but obstruction and slowing players down is a great way to start playing polo.
hmmm.. I wouldn't advise 'obstructing' as a great way to start, as you're the one more likely to come off worse! I would advise finding a space on the court instead, so team-mates can pass to you.

I rode past Newington last night and half of each court is still white, but the other halves are almost dry. I reckon if it doesnt get any colder than it is now, it will be playable by tomorrow. (Although there could be a big puddle in the usual corner when it thaws which we would need to clear).
I'll check again on my way home tonight.
