I don't mind where although someone seems very worried we'll disrupt throw ins
If you are talking about me, then yeah! We've tried really hard to make Wednesday a regular throw-in evening. If we didn't have it as a regular day we probably wouldn't get enough players to make games and/or really piss off the locals with over-use. There are many players that only play on a Wednesday and the only time some people will get to play this week.
It's a shame that the current situation with the lights and locals have changed things recently. We can't guarantee both courts, we can't play before 6.30pm because of the Chelsea kids and it will get dark before 8.30pm. But if you are playing your league game there, let me know before tonight so I won't bother riding my polo bike to work tomorrow.

Ray, those belong to the posh school. But, just round the corner...
I've found some excellent courts in Brockley (Nunhead side).. 2 courts, flat surface, lights, barriers all round similar to Newington, and hardly ever used. But one court has basketball hoops with the posts inside the court and one has football style goals.

In my second ever 3 vs 3, we took a goal off Malice (even if our massive celebrations went on so long that they stuck one in at the other end...) Just shows there's hope in any game!
Hi Hannah!
That was brilliant. You guys were too busy celebrating and we were shouting at you all to "Turn, turn" but you couldn't hear over the cheers :)
I hope So-Yo polo co/ Sheffield gets a 6th member soon so you can play some games!

I think we did the right thing in splitting the courts, because for many south players Wednesday is the only day of the week they get to play. We can't expect them to take it easy in every game in case they intimidate a new player.
But if you don't want to play on a Wednesday with us, separate sessions are a great idea. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think even the Gabes/Horatio/Tomasito etc wave of players had separate polo sessions before they got stuck in at Brick Lane! & Dave took me to some tennis courts to practice hitting and dribbling the ball before I would play a proper game :)
Please don't be put off joining the league. We played in the first league and didn't win a single game...

@Turd & Coños - Let's just chance it and hope we get done before dark. I'll try and get off half hour early to save us a bit of daylight time.
We (me, sarah, adam and ollie came to the decision tonight that we would play as long as we started as close to 7.30 as is physically possible to get the best out of the lights. The dino's will be there half an hour early so you can count on us being ready to start.
I am looking forward to this!
Yeah, it was getting dark at 8.15pm and we stopped playing at about 8.25pm. I reckon we should just play, starting as early as we can. I'll be there from 6.30 to warm up with the Dinos :)
