TBH, that was my intial response to brians post too. Otherwise, why declare yourself part of a team at the start of the season? Damn, this rules business is complicated.

I think youre right in suggesting that as it stands, players still shouldnt be allowed to sub for other league teams if they leave their declared team. I think there's a whole transfer rules debate that we're starting to see a need for, in time for next season, and this is one of the situations we need to discuss, because Im also not sure how fair it is to the players. Its also hard on the rest of BRPC in this case, because their one sub is now permanently being used.

brian, you should team up with Matt BD and Dan.

Now theres a good league rules question, since we're talking subs. Do two members of a league team playing together, with a third as sub, automatically count as the league team? Or did (for example) matt give up the right to use BRPC when he quit? If dan also quits and subsequently teams up with matt, can they play as BRPC? Or do they have to reform as New BRPC?

Since the original BRPC would effectively be out of the league at that point (due to the one sub rule), would the league recognise New BRPC as being BRPC, since it contains two BRPC registered players and they could argue that effectively it was just a change of team name?

There isnt really a team change/transfer rule AFAIK. The way it worked last year was that, as youre only allowed one sub, that replacement player counted as the sub. Last year Todd was permasub for Malice, but as long as the other two registered players are playing, BRPC can have as many different third members as they want.

Caustic Soda will dissolve anything aluminium, but not steel. (Also paint, skin and potentially your cat if applied incorrectly). Drill/cut away as much as possible, and just soak it, or fill the seat tube. Be creative.

As for cranks, have you tried a ball joint puller? If you find the right kind, you can get much more force applied to the cranks from the back instead of the relatively weak threads..
