flickwg jonny how do you track your mileage?
i have a had a special chip implanted in my right foot and have got NASA to dedicate one of their top satellites to me.
nah, i just know a lot of journeys (gmap-pedometer any new ones) and just note them in my diary - which comes almost everywhere with me. no flash systems here dude. old skool. pen and papyrus.

yeah, it's a bit anal of me hippy but i know the mileage of all my regular journeys and i just keep a rough total, err on the side of underaccounting for them so not kidding myself.
am planning to do a lot more longer rides this year too - though not as many as you dude - but then who is? wiggins, contador, i dunno.
have been following the cycle sportives thread and will be throwing my hat in to some of them too dude.

take one hard-drinking, internet obsessed pedalling aussie hardcase and turn him into a semi straight-edge half marathon running a day moustachioed hipster, and vice-versa.

yeah man, stick to your guns. for as long as you can anyway. my one resolution for the year is to clock up more miles than last year (7620). i intend to keep everything else running at the same level though.
