I'm done for.... this is the end of my silly childish life, next station, grown up parenthood
Ha ha. No such thing. I took my nine year old out bike riding recently and she told me off for doing skids. She said it was silly and dangerous, but she rides an MTB, what does she know?
I bet your gf was well pleased about you posting that picture on the interweb. It could be the last time you get to do any fathering if she finds out!

Is it as bad as people say? I don't know, I've only ever been there twice: tube station to BC and the academy.
Most of the people who "say" have never been there in their lives. Robbery and violence are above average for London (see here: http://www.met.police.uk/crimefigures/datatable.php?ward=00aygd&borough=lx&period=year)
But we're talking 50 incidents per 1,000 population compared to an average of 23.3. Put another way 950 people who were untouched against 976. Either way up, the vast majority are unaffected by crime.

All done! Rides like a dream!
What, that dream where you are at work with no clothes on, and you're running towards the lift and its getting further and further away, and you realise that it's your A-levels tomorrow and you haven't been to any of the lessons even though you promised yourself you would, and everyone's laughing?

first time watching the tour with any real interest, are there any particular stages this year i ought to be putting in the diary...
All of 'em. This ain't Formula 1, something happens every day, be it a surprise escape, a bunch sprint. If you have to prioritise then make sure you don't miss Alpe d'Huez - there can easily be a fight for the stage, a fight for KoM and a fight for GC all going on at the same time at different points on the mountain.

+1 for the Gate, Manna & Mildreds
Detox is total BS by the way. Properly functioning kidneys remove all the toxins from your system. If you want to eat healthy, then call it "eating healthy stuff" rather than wrapping it in psuedo science and enriching the likes of Gillian McKeith and Carol Vorderman in the process.
Carol Vorderman has a third in Engineering, and Gillian McKeith's bought her "Phd" which is why Channel 4 no longer call her doctor.

i like riding to work in the morning at around 6am, it doesn't happen that often, but when it does, the silent beauty of the morning is amazing, and also i avoid the hordes of commuters polluting my mind later on. and i mean cyclists.
+1. I normally leave the house before six, and on a day like today it's fantastic. Bright, cool and only the sound of my tyres on Clapham Road. I got round Elephant & Castle roundabout without breaking my rhythm this morning, which for some reason always puts a smile on my face.

Here's one I made earlier;
