@asm : yeah, I find skidding quite wrist painful as well, maybe we are doing it wrong? elbow progresses nicely, but slowly :-(
@illy : the PG looked pretty much like the pic but with a spot or two of rust and scratches. Nice to see it being used :-)

speaking of belgian,
Does anyone on here own the flanders TT machine that locks up outside CSM southhampton row?
BIG gear, mavic bullhorns + aerobars, 1 brake.
You sir, have a mint bike.
I saw that today and gawped for a bit before moving on.
Also, last week, I saw an old, slightly battered one of these outside UCL:

AND, t'other day chatted to a nice guy on a Condor Classico Pista sporting these:

A rare week indeed.

OK, Just looked... and I'm not doing that.
#1 requires re-compilation and for maintenance I'd rather stick with the CPU optimised build that is in the ubuntu repositories.
#2 doesn't require a re-compilation, but the Xml file you have to edit is scary. It basically defines the alphabet for that locale and the entire database.
The problem I have with #2 is that changing the alphabet may have consequences beyond the fulltext indexes. And there is no documentation to say what that may be. Would making '-' a letter impact in any way on the security given that '--' is a Sql comment and can be used in shaping a Sql injection query.
So... tags will solve this.
Wise you are, yes, yes.
I agree, particularly since I have already sold that On-One Pompino :-)

Yep, head down to Trafalgar Square then either take Northumberland Avenue to the Embankment or Whitehall to Parliament Square and onto the Embankment.
Follow the river side road through Chelsea.
Then it gets interesting, you have to break left when you get to the house boats (Lots Rd) and then cut through a private housing estate / industrial park place.
After that, you have to take riverside footpaths which are annoying. You might want to leave the river and head direct to H'smith from Putney Bridge Rd or similar.

OK, this looks like a goer, starting from next week. I will edit the first post and ask VB to change the thread title.
See you next week :-)
Surely if you're central you should be doing your bit and riding to ALL the outlying beer nights?
Slightly insensitive, given that I have a broken elbow and am off the bike for the foreseeable, as you well know! Cunt...
(BTW, well done on the Whitehorse, fucking impressive work.)
@M A X - sorry, I'll pick a pub with a crèche next time ;-)

I have a Da Kine helipack rucksack (nice size for riding with) that has a camelbak pouch and tube guide. I have the small camelbak bladder to go in it, that holds about a litre.
I can get a photo up if you're interested in borrowing them?
